Renewal for "Faith-Based" Initiatives likely to Fail

This is really the only reason why I voted for the Democrats in the midterm elections to stop or at the very least slow down the momentum of the religious right. I am sick and tired of my tax money going to fundamentalist *******s like Robertson, Perkins, Dobson and the rest of ilk. There is nowhere in the Constitution that says that I the tax payer is required to support religion or religious programs.

A true christian religion doesn't need taxpayer money.....certainly any christian church that wastes money printing pamphlets that attack other christian religions shouldn't be getting taxpayer money...

Excellent news! I too used to be a repub, but bailed when the religiosity became to much the focus. . . the line for me was when Bush beat out John McCain in the 2000 primaries.

Unfortunately for McCain, I now see him as a complete flip-flopping ahole. He just isn't the same McCain he was then. Too much brown in his lipstick.

*Yawn* Quite boring. I thought this post might actually have some importance in it, and low and behold, it does have importance, in the trash can.

The purpose of a debate forum is to debate issues that interest you, as opposed to spamming random threads to laugh at those within.

On the topic of faith-based programs- there are hundreds of charities that don't promote deities, and we already give churches tax breaks. Why is this necessary?
