Current Mood: | Renewal for "Faith-Based" Initiatives likely to Fail This is really the only reason why I voted for the Democrats in the midterm elections to stop or at the very least slow down the momentum of the religious right. I am sick and tired of my tax money going to fundamentalist *******s like Robertson, Perkins, Dobson and the rest of ilk. There is nowhere in the Constitution that says that I the tax payer is required to support religion or religious programs. On the topic of faith-based programs- there are hundreds of charities that don't promote deities, and we already give churches tax breaks. Why is this necessary?
