Canada to legalize pot next spring

If you are dealing grass, then you are in all probability dealing other drugs as well.

This is a myth and absolutely not true. If you sell grass you might know where to find a few other things because there tends to be some overlap in those circles, but it certainly does not mean you sell anything besides grass. I'm speaking from first hand experience, if you go back 10-20 years, my friends and I all each had a personal small business going at some point.

The reverse is probably true though, if you deal other things you most likely deal grass too.

Considering the recent Canadian government's budget and projections for the next 4 years, seems only reasonable that they'd want as many people stoned as possible moving forward.

Joking? It's wonderful that Canada is moving back into deficit.

It already is legal in at least two states - Colorado and Washington.

Need the rest to follow the common sense path, then we can move on to more stupid laws.

The dumber and lazier the population the better. Congrats.

What is it about conservatives and laws? They think that if people shouldn't do something, there needs to be a law that they can't.
Don't the words, 'personal liberty and freedom' mean anything?

Good morning Lady P.

They claimed, during the election, that they were committed to $10 billion deficits for 3 years to fund infrastructure and then in their last year they would balance the budget. They also promised a middle class tax cut that would pay for itself by increasing upper income taxes. Well, they initiated the middle class tax cut, which actually favours higher income earners, and it didn't pay for itself - in fact it adds several $billion a year to the deficits. Then, the new Prime Minister went on a world tour handing out taxpayer money for climate change initiatives and others, to the tune of about $4 billion. Finally, the Finance Minister tables a four year budget projection with $29 billion in deficits this and next year and a total of $110 billion over their four year mandate with no balances in sight and no plans for a balance, and in that first $29 billion deficit just $2.9 billion for infrastructure and a whole heap of social engineering dollars wasted, with promises of increased taxes/fees.

The new Liberal government has gone back to their spendthrift ways of attempting to buy votes from those who don't give a damn about the country's financial wellbeing. Unfortunately, in today's society, there are plenty of people who believe that government exists to give them free stuff and that there are lots of rich people to steal from to pay for it.

This will be the first Liberal deficit in a long time. The last Liberal government brought down eight or nine successive years of surplus budgets. It was the Conservatives who brought us back into the red.

Yes they do. I am not surprised you need help figuring out what that is, and the responsibility it entails.

Name the last regulation on business liberals were against.

I'll wait.

What 'what' is?
Listen. Conservatives claim to want smaller government, less government interference in our lives and then they advocate for more laws and more power for the police. When liberals fight for and achieve more personal rights and freedoms, conservatives get up on their hind legs and howl about the downfall of society.
I'm liberal. I don't want to live under a conservative daddy state. Another worthless law off the books is a step forward.

Get comfortable, I can't be arsed to jump through your hoops.

The author of that article might want to learn the difference between decriminalize and legalize.

Get comfortable, I can't be arsed to jump through your hoops.

It's an easy hoop to get through. All you have to do is find a regulation on business that liberals have rejected.

I don't want to live under a daddy state or a nanny state.

There isn't much you don't get backwards. And society is heading downhill. And it is getting plenty of help from selfish people concerned with their own pleasure before worrying about the example they set for their children.

It only messes with the brain, so therefore it's fine.

Look, I'm not against pot being legal, but come on, that argument is pretty silly.

Confuse conservatism with anarchy? And I get stuff backwards?
Yeesh.

WHAT?
I say conservatives like more laws and this is your take?

Laws protect and apply to all of society's members, including those who dont want to raise their family in a society inundated with addicts and or people under the influence of powerful psychoactive chemicals.

The argument for legalization is being made in a vacuum by people who put their drug use before those who dont want their communities harmed by a large influx of drugs and drug users.

Taking into consideration the concerns of everyone before making rash changes that could have short term and long term destructive consequences isn't necessarily a Conservative idea.

Its just the right thing to do

Maybe I am wrong. You don't seem to understand what is said to you. And that is what your reply indicates.

Do you think drugs should be illegal?

Liberals believe government should control and tax pot instead of making it illegal. As for me, I think it should legal.

Then convince your neighbors to not do drugs. If they do drugs then help them to get better. Allow people the freedom to make mistakes and be there for them when they fall.
