Re: Senate Health Bill Totals $849 Billion, CBO Estimates

As usual, FOX (and other media) blow it, and people who don't understand what they're talking about eat it up.

The CBO says the bill will cost $849 billion - but also save even MORE. The net effect would be a SAVINGS (i.e. deficit reduction) of $127 billion.

See for yourself, the CBO's letter is at the bottom of this link:

Senate introduces health care bill; Obama and NM senators praise it New Mexico Independent

Yep, with all the concessions and deal wrangling they had to do to try and keep the detractors happy enough to get some kind of bill to the table to just talk about it (*note that it hasn't even gotten to that point yet, but it has gotten closer*) has diluted and warped it into a total mess.

But guess who's going to get the blame for it not working as it could or should? Certainly not the ones that stripped and ripped it. And those that are most responsible for it's present mangled state are going to be the first ones to point the finger outward and declare 'I told you so' to the rousing cheers of their followers.

Re: Senate Health Bill Totals $849 Billion, CBO Estimates

ATTENTION AMERICANS NOW IS THE TIME TO STAND UP FOR YOUR COUNTRY AND THE HOPE FOR A PROSPEROUS AND HAPPY FUTURE FOR YOU CHILDREN AND YOUR CHILDREN'S CHILDREN

This is not over stated and we cannot wait for the 2010 to stand and be counted to put an end to the Socialist/Marxist agenda being shoved down our throats.

The cost to the Nation's economy and each and every individual is such that we may never recover once Obama, Pelosi, Read and the rest of Anti-Americans who currently occupy positions of power get their way.

If you live in a State other than California where there is no hope from our Senators because they hate the Nation and everyone in it as much as the Anti-American triad of Obama, Pelosi, & Reid, then you contact your Senator and you tell them you will work to remove them from office if they back this crazy plan.

This "troika of hate" is spending this Nation into oblivion. They have spent us into debt that is going to take generations yet unborn to pay for.

We love the Socialist/Marxist agenda, boo, or rather the progressive programs that the right wing whack-o-loons like to label as the Socialist/Marxist agenda.

Re: Senate Health Bill Totals $849 Billion, CBO Estimates

I'd like to read both bills out of the House and Senate before passing judgement (or atleast read what the final product to the entire Congress would be). Anybody have links to the proposed legistlation?

You could check Thomas, but at this point, only the House legislation is worth checking out. The Senate bill has been merged (Finance and HELP committee bills), but it hasn't gone through the amendment process on the floor yet.

I wonder tho, even after the Senate bill is done, which bill will end up closest to whatever comes out of conference committee?
