No Laila, we prevented Israel from defending themselves and starting a regional war that would have eclipsed the violent spectre of the Iraq War we just fought.

If Israel had defended herself we'd have easily had an Arab/Israeli war among many nations.

We prevented that.

Israel attacking Iraq would have set off a war now?

Israel has had wars with Lebanon ... Palestine .... and Egypt ... And Saudi Arabia ... Lets not forget proxy wars against Hamas and Hezbollah/Iran and Syria ...

No ME killing itself and setting itself alight in a regional war

Rather Israel and Arabs sacrificing itself than our soldiers sacrificing themselves on their behalf.

In each case you mention Israel was attacked first. If Israel had attacked Iraq without (apparent) cause multiple Arab nations would have been called upon to assist their brethren.

And in several of the cases you cite multiple nations DID attack Israel simultaneously.

We prevented that by taking out Saddam. And I remind you he had the option of fleeing to a neutral country with his family, mistresses and loot and avoiding war.

Yeah but so did Iraq, Sudan, Tunisia, Morocco and Algeria.

Arabs or Muslims protecting their own LOL

If we did have a ummah, Israel would have been attacked 100 times over the last 60 years by every Muslim country in the world but they haven't and do you know why? Because we do not protect our own anymore.

The only thing that would set off a regional war against Israel is if Israel is suicidal enough to destroy Mecca or Medina .... or maybe Al Asqa but to a lesser extent.

We also had the option of not attacking and invading without a actual strategy.
