No, what happens is the homeless rate goes up.

An ASTOUNDING observation, one that could only be made by someone with The Obama's supreme mental prowess.

So... what are you going to DO about it?

Spend more money?
Run up more deficits?
Print more money?
Raise taxes?
Further nationalize the auto industry?
Further nationalize the banking/financial industries?
So let me see if I understand the complaint here. Is it because Obama said something you agree with? Or is it because in this one interview he did not answer all your questions? Or is it just another excuse to bitch about the guy who kicked your guys ass in the election?

Another important thing to remember is that eventually there won't be any low skill manufacturing jobs available in the future.

Automated manufacturing is quickly reducing the number of employees a company needs to make products.
It is going to leave nearly the whole economy with jobs for skilled and educated workers.

If you want to continue to work in manufacturing your going to have to have some sort of maintenance training or quality control education.

Compared to the cost of living in the U.S., yes they are slave wages.

For a time, perhaps.
But, my post stands - there's no question that cost of living is related to income. Income drops, so do prices.

I'm sorry you feel that way but you can't expect things to stay the same forever. U.S. workers aren't paid those wages so whats the big deal?

Trade skill wages are quite rewarding for individuals who want to take the time and learn to do those things.

My criticism here is clear and relevant.
Rather than attack me, how about addressing the issue itself.

For a time? And how long is that time, 1 year, 2 years 10 years, 20 years.

You willing to sacrifice your own family for that?

Ok so if someone was payed a wage of $1 an hour, you tell me how they can survive on that for their family.

What I was getting at is there are folks that say we should be willing to go that low just because some need work for that. That is wrong.

Why not being back child labor while we/re at it, I mean hey, what's best for the company and all right?

The funny thing here is that you think there's a choice in the matter -- the labor market is what it is, and all of your "well that sucks" does nothing to change it.

If you dont want your job outsourced, then get a job that can't be. That simple.
