How many times do I have to say this? I don't give a crap that some guy killed Tiller because to me Tiller was no different than a serial killer.

That said, I'm anti-death penalty and would have preferred to see Tiller put behind bars. Hell, he was due back in court before he was shot down dead. There's a decent chance the law would have eventually gotten around to shutting him down and maybe even punishing him for criminal actions.

But as far as turning on the news and hearing about someone's untimely death goes, Tiller's death was one I didn't get upset about. Not in the least.

The guy should not have shot Tiller but if a guy is going to go crazy and gun someone down I'm glad it was Tiller as opposed to most anyone else.

So to you, the status quo is what should always be maintained?

You leave no room for debate.

Do you agree that killing defenseless people is wrong? I'm sure there are exceptions to the rule but, as a rule, is killing defenseless people wrong?

Then you felt he deserved to die. Just admit it and accept it.

If I feel a person doesn't deserve to die, I will be upset that he is shot.

I was upset that Saddam was hung, I felt he should have served life in prison.

I didn't' think he deserved to die by hanging. It was too quick for him.

At least be honest with yourself. If you HONESTLY felt he deserved to serve life in prison, you should be upset that he isn't serving that sentence.

Wrong, I have been debating that which is NOT Status Quo.

I agree that killing defenseless people is wrong, however, I do not feel abortion (with limitations) is wrong.

In fact, I really wish the pro-lifers would invest (and frankly I would help as well) in ways of incubating the fetus artificially so that it doesn't have to be aborted.

I don't LIKE abortion, and in fact I would NEVER encourage a woman that I got pregnant into having one.

That doesn't change the fact that I feel a woman's body is her choice.

I don't believe in the death penalty yet I'm rarely ever upset about individuals put in the chair. Generally they're killers and I just have no real capacity to mourn them. If someone is gonna kill someone I'd rather a killer kill another killer.

Given a choice though I'd like to see our government stop executing people. Though I believe Tiller was a killer I wouldn't kill him because I am not a killer. Likewise with the government and the death penalty I think it becomes an issue of becoming that which you despise.

I don't know how I could make myself more clear.

I will say I have trouble believing so many mourned Tiller. I secretly suspect many have spent more time getting outraged over my not being upset than actually being upset themselves.

Dr. Tiller deserved to die.

It should have been by capitol punishment instead of an assassin's bullet, but Dr. Tiller deserved to die.

I'm glad he's gone, the world is better off without him.

Re: Man accused of killing abortion doc says he's being 'treated like a criminal'

The murder of another human being is a breath of fresh air? Did anyone know or bother to find out that so-called late term abortions are illegal in most states at 16 weeks and in all states after 20 weeks?

How did Dr. Tiller get around the law to perform these abortions? He didn't get around the law. The law allows for late term abortions in the case where the mothers life is in danger where both mother and child would die if the baby was carried full term. Also abortion was allowed in the case where if the fetus was born full term it would be a vegtable or would live a life on intolerable pain and suffering.

There is always a problem when we label others. Like baby killer and so on. Labels make it possible to not see the human being under the label placed on them. Thus many will never know the true story of Dr. Tiller only the labels placed on him which only told half the story.
