I don't think it's a huge stretch that if you sit in a church for 20 years under the same pastor, then you probably have some things in common.

Some of the things Wright was saying would have made me walk out with offense of it.

Those views probably don't look as extreme from the perspective of a black person. Overall, I'm just saying that this is a non-issue as far as having ties to Hannity just as much as the Wright and Ayers stuff was with Obama, in my opinion.

HOw often did he go on those rants though?

If you go to the church for a year and there's nothing that far out of line and really nothing you disagree with, but on the 63rd visit, something outlandish is said, do you give up on that church entirely?

From what I've heard from people who actually have gone to that church is that he wasn't like that in every sermon, or even the majority of sermons.

I remember going to church and occasionally hearing crazy ****, but I never once saw anyone walk out of the church over it. Granted, I haven't been to a church sermon in over 20 years.

He is an idiot! It's not illegal, being an idiot. He only spoke his mind.
Inciting violence would have been, his comments, along with the posting of those persons addresses! He said he would provide them, but they arrested him before he had a chance to. Who's to say if he really ever would have released the addresses? That would have completed what you say is inciting violence. I don't agree with the man, but
free speech is still free speech!

I disagree. There was a call to violence in his rant. Further, there was a clear threat woven in there and that, in and of itself, was criminal.

This isn't a free speech issue at all. This is an incitement of violence issue.

It's illegal to incite violence, which is exactly what he did. And yes, encouraging people to perpetrate acts of violence against others is inciting violence. Free speech has nothing to do with it. You are the only person here who is arguing that he didn't incite violence.

First of all you are assuming that black people and white people are on even playing ground as far as racism goes and they aren't. They never will be. Black people have had a much different history in this country than white people have had.

No actually all I can do is not entertain racist ideals, whether if its dealing with actual racists or feeling sorry for someone who is not the same skin color as me.


We have a black man in the whitehouse. How much more white guilt do you expect us to have? I don't have time for it.
