House Democrats propose $410B spending bill - Yahoo! Finance

WASHINGTON (AP) -- House Democrats unveiled a $410 billion spending bill on Monday to keep the government running through the end of the fiscal year, setting up the second political struggle over federal funds in less than a month with Republicans.

The measure includes thousands of earmarks, the pet projects favored by lawmakers but often criticized by the public in opinion polls. There was no official total of the bill's earmarks, which accounted for at least $3.8 billion.

The legislation, which includes an increase of roughly 8 percent over spending in the last fiscal year, is expected to clear the House later in the week.

When does it end?

Never? This type of negligent spending occurred the past 8 years and it will occur for 4 more years, then 4 years after, and so on and so forth.

Re: House Democrats propose $410B spending bill

Well, it looks like the liberals who complained about how much the republicans spent now have egg all over their face. This congress will outspend the past 8 years in this current session alone at the present rate. To those conservatives, like myself, who have been complaining about how much the republicans have been spending, are ****ing pissed. This lunacy has to stop and stop now. The road we're on isn't a slippery slope anymore, it's a tall slide with razor blades on it that ends in a pool of acid.

We went from big-spending Republicans to big-spending Democrats. When will the fiscal lunacy end?

Well that is considering the government has the same rate of cash flow. Banks are already prepared to make payments on their loans.

So are those liberals that have been complaining.

They're complaining about how much the dems are spending? Really? This is news to me because I'm just not seeing it. All I'm seeing is silence.

Probably at about the same time the borrow-and-spend pattern finally inflates the value of the dollar to the point where the economy collapses, assuming that something else doesn't kill the goose first.
