Senate turns away Barack Obama's tainted replacement Roland Burris - Times Online

So, the law in the USA is that a State Governor can appoint whomsoever He / She wishes to be seated in the Senate in a situation whereby the sitting Senator is unable to occupy that seat between elections.
Blagojevitch at this time is legally able to do this, he (Blagojevitch) is innocent of any crime that may prevent him from nominating his choice.

So this begs the question.
Whom is holding up the legal process of Mr (Senator) Burris' appointment?
Why it is Senator Reid, who is he?
Senator Reid is the loudmouthed Democratic Majority Leader in the Senate.
He is not exactly a clean sheeted Senator, having had various problems with the rules which govern Senator's behavior in the recent past.
First of all he suggested that without the signature of the Secretary of State of Illinois on the paper appointing the Senator, the appointment is not legal.
The Sec. of State says that his signature is not a legal requirement, he should know his own State's legal requirements.
If it is not a requirement, why should he refuse to follow what he has evidently done before? as for instance with Senator Durbin? Curious?
Back to Senator Reid who obviously has some other agenda where he seeks to bar Mr. (Senator) Burris from taking his lawful seat in the Senate.
I await, along with the rest of the USA for this other Agenda to come to light.

For all the tomfoolery that Senator Reid has been practicing these last few days, I doubt he has gained himself any respect.
