You are going to have a really hard time convincing me that Obama of the region does not know what Mary Mitchell of the region meant by that comment in her Chicago column.

But, I can cut Obama some slack, maybe his handlers kept it from him and he is ignorant of the Chicago news.

The simple fact remains that everyone who saw the words of Mary Mitchell is either bad, a liar, ignorant, or stupid, if they claim those words were not a smear of Obama and blacks claiming he was lying and most black people know it.

Some random ass person said something stupid and because Obama didn't condemn it...that horrible racist man he is....it must be true. Wow just....ow, someone get me some asprin.

I think its better he doesn't make a comment on this. I don't have issues with a President Elect speaking about issues of domestic importance, but when it comes to Foreign Affairs I don't want anyone but the POTUS speaking publicly about a stance. Obama may be President here in less than half a month, but right now its still Bush and still Bush's policies and there does not need to be a second voice there to muddle it up.

His not being President didn't stop him from proposing solutions to the economic crisis nor did it stop him from discussing the probability of withdrawals with Iraqi officials. Why is this any different?

It seems he's only interested in discussing things which he finds politically advantageous and it seems equally apparent that his supporters are willing to ignore or rationalize his silence on this key issue while defending his chattiness on others. Perhaps he'll speak to the Israeli/Palestinian conflict once he's finished the back nine.

I did not argue that “if Obama didn't condemn it...it must be true” I used words like “I have a right to suspect ,“ that does not mean I am arguing a "therefore," it is suspicion, and that is why your response is ignorant and “idiotic.” Suspicion is on topic.

An “I see no reason” is not a “therefore.”
