A spokesman for Emanuel said he later showed up at the office, apparently able to sneak out of the house without being seen by reporters waiting to ask him questions.

Meanwhile, late today a spokesperson for Emanuel confirmed in an email that an Associated Press story saying that he is not a target of the investigation is "accurate." Questions remain, however, over his contacts with Blagojevich and his staff, and Emanuel has still not said whether or not he's been contacted by the FBI for questioning.

This sap needs to take the sand out of his mangina and go to work.

Couple things. What is he hiding? And why is he willing to show fear as opposed to being a man about this?

Something is getting real fishy about all this.

The rumor I heard is that Emanuel was the leaker to the FBI regarding Blagojevich's illegal behavior. Assuming this rumor is true, it would make sense that Emanuel would NOT speak to reporters about what kind of contact he had with Blagojevich.

Nevertheless, I am reserving judgment until further information is provided.

This is the same capon who listed defeated political opponents shouting "dead" after each one. Now he is whining about some dubious "death" threat and hiding from the press?

His office claims he never stated he was receiving death threats. It's his word against the reporter's.

Interesting that you didn't believe the reporter who claimed he heard "Kill Obama" at a rally because no one could corroborate his story, but you believe a reporter who claims Emanuel stated he was getting death threats even though no one heard this except the reporter. Hmmmmmm.

Remember though in that story, I stated I believed the secret service when they said they heard nothing. Along with the later reports that it never happened.

Also I don't recall it being a reporter but a person claiming to a reporter.
