US debt clock runs out of digits

It is now official. The national debt clock can no longer display the amount of American debt. You know, just a few years ago, I thought this kind of debt would be impossible. Thank you, President Bush, and the rest of the Bushnevik clan, for another accomplishment which will be remembered in infamy.

A truly unnecessary and despicable legacy of the Republican administration that will cost our nation for decades.

But hey, we got our tax cuts though. That is what the pass buck generation wanted. The Republicans just told the sweet little lies that we could cut taxes and not have deficits, have your cake and eat it too, fight wars and double military spending and its all free. That was all they needed to here. You hear conservatives saying the same thing daily on this board.

Bush has only vetoed 10 bills in his time in office. (One of which was troop funding).

A band-aid has now been applied to the national debt clock by putting a one in the same square as the dollar sign.

I have a better idea. Just say to those we owe "screw you", and reset the clock to zero, and make sure it remains there.
