Current Mood: | Obama calls on Americans to support rescue plan Link: Obama calls on Americans to support rescue plan
(RENO, Nev. (AP) - Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama is calling for Americans to get behind attempts to salvage a $700 billion rescue plan for the financial sector.)
Naturally as this man is a Socialist, he wants Americans to blindly accept whatever Government (at least (HIS) Government) proposes.
We have seen what happens when a person seeks to and actually does become President under their brand of Socialism, they automatically imagine that because they were voted into office that every thought and idea they have must be best for their Nation, thus there is no point in anyone being permitted to have a dissenting viewpoint.
The above brings to mind Chavez / Putin / Hitler / Stalin, who essentially show that it is their way or the Highway.
Obama has shown small regard for Economic or indeed Political sense, he apparently does not realize that bailing out a thief will only encourage that thief to further acts of theft.

Obama is showing leadership by encouraging necessary action even when it is unpopular. Leaders sometimes have to do that.
What's McCain's doing? He acknolwedges that action is necessary. What is he doing to ensure a bill gets passed?

What is he doing to ensure a bill gets passed? | As far as I can tell, McCain is doing pretty much the same thing Obama is doing: he is working the phones with the representatives from his party, and has had several phone conversations with Bernanke and Paulson to get further compromises and a bill this week. He and Obama have both come out in favor of raising the FDIC limits on insured deposits to $250k (it is unclear at the moment who did it first, but I'm sure something will be made of the timing by partisans from both camps). McCain has also encouraged Treasury to proceed with the direct purchase of mortgages, as authorized by legislation a month or so ago, but as yet unused by Treasury. Haven't heard anything as yet from Obama on this, but would be surprised if he didn't support it as well. |

His support, to the extent he's given it, has been lukewarm at best. It seems to me he is avoiding being to public about this so he can claim he didn't really support it to the constituents that are going to be angry about it. Good politics, perhaps, but if this really is a crises like everyone is saying, not good leadership. |

Perhaps you can wax ecstatic about Bush and Mccain being socialists too.

I'm sorry, the OP is just absurd, and has nothing to do with reality, and no value.
