I am not sure about your logic... we know that anything that is absolutely foreign [for the US] would be a favorite thing for liberals to embrace and learn. |

The French prez was doing everything he could not to show how happy he would be if Obama became the next US prez. He failed. LOL
Anyway, what amuses me the most is that she'll be by McCain's side during this event, yet the article in the OP, instead of focusing on the fact that the top of the Republican ticket is meeting with foreign leaders at the UN, is making a huge deal about his running mate as if she were the one running for President.

If Europe Could Vote Indeed, there can be no doubt that a President Obama would represent the most dramatic conceivable break with George W. Bush and the widespread European perception that America has turned into a trigger-happy rogue state run by a fundamentalist Christian nut job. In electing a young black politician with a Muslim father, Americans would do something that is pretty much unthinkable in any country in Europe, where politics are traditionally dominated by a white old boy's club (notable exceptions like German chancellor Angela Merkel notwithstanding). In this context, however, Europeans must not forget that Obama (despite having a very Europe-savvy foreign policy team) is not known to be an Atlanticist.
Yep, I'm sure Palin will make quite an impression....

Yep, I'm sure Palin will make quite an impression.... | I hope she will not pursue any goal to impress anybody there, like Obama did. |

Awsome... this is a great reason to anyone why Obama is the wrong man for the job. See europe sits there and whines about the US, and when the poop hits the fan it is us that they run to.
The last thing they actually want is for us to become them.... They are just to blind with jealousy to realize this.

It's absolutely ludicrous to assume that we can go it alone against terrorism regardless of how inept you feel the rest of the world is. Fact is we need their help, and that the rest of the world sees Obama favorably and thus in turn the US favorably, that's actually all the more reason that he's the best candidate for the position. |
