Most US women voters 'unimpressed' by McCain's VP pick - Yahoo! News

6 in 10 women voters see this selection for what it is....a calculated move on the part of McCain to pander for women votes.

How many of those polled were going to vote the way they did in this poll before Palin was announced as VP? I don't think the announcement changed a whole lot of set minds. I do think it may have or may later sway some who hadn't decided yet or maybe a few who weren't going to vote at all.

I could have been swayed to vote for McCain. UNTIL he picked Palin as his running mate. Now there's no way in bloody hell he'd ever get my vote.

In fact, given our two options now, I honestly cannot wait to get the **** out of this country.

So 6 in 10 said it was calculated political move more than based on qualifications. (nice editorial privledge there adding "pander" there Disney)

56% are put off on her views on the issues.

52% plan to vote for the Obama ticket, 41 for McCain's

Unfortunately, like so many of these pointless polls, the numbers mean jack without more info.

How many of 10 women think that doing it for political reasons is a knock against Obama or not.

Out of those 56% who are put off on her views on the issue, what was their feeling about McCain prior to that?

Out of those 52% for Obama, how many were there before this pick. For the 41% for McCain, how many of them were for him before this pick.

For example, if 60% of the people polled were put off with McCain's views previously, but only 56% are put off on her views...that's actually a bonus for McCain. If 40% of people polled were put off with McCain's view previously, but 56% are put off on her views...then thats a hit.

If previously 55% of those women would've supported Obama and 35 of them would've supported McCain, then its a bonus for McCain. If previously 50% was for Obama and 43% were for McCain...then that's a hit.

A number, without a reference point, is useless and can be spun to mean ANYTHING.

Dominica if we like it enough after spending a couple weeks there. If not, then we'll pick another place and try it out. Hell, maybe we'll fall in love with Belize when we go there next month.

Re: Most US women voters unimpressed by McCain's VP pick

Obama and McCain did the predictable. Obama chose an older and with more years in the political scene to balance out the criticism of his being inexperienced. McCain chose a younger lesser known official and a woman to even out critics that he is the traditional politician.
