Mr. Fowler is not apologizing for the remark he made.
What he is actually apologizing for is being stupid enough to have allowed his comments to be recorded by someone who subsequently broadcast those remarks on the internet.
Interesting though, because if, say for instance 'God' were to be involved then by downgrading 'Gustav' to a Cat. 2 Hurricane on landing on La. coast, it could be argued that God is in favor of a Republican win.

Once again, like everything else about this on the forum, we see people don't read.

Christians implies plural. However this link, and every other, just show one. A satirist for Focus on the Family who posted something tongue in cheek and meant to be primarily a joke. To my knowledge, this has since been taken down and apologized for.

NO ONE has been able to provide any evidence that there were multiple questions wishing to for this to legitimately happen. No one has shown any links in the media talking of anyone else saying this besides this one satirist.

Its low brow, poor, horrible humor that should've never been said. Much like Michael Moore's poor, low brow, horrible attempt at humor laughing about how this proves gods on the democrats side that the hurricane is hitting New Orleans. Only difference is Michael's actually relishing in something real that legitimatelly could kill people, the satirist was joking about something ficticious. Both are low brow, crappy humor.

But please, liberals on this thread making the claim, show us where other people besides the satirists were legitimately praying for Obama to be drowned. I will happily and with great haste retract my statements about there being none if you can show other wise because so far every lik I've found just talks about Stephens.

I can't find any links, I may try but most likely not because it's not an issue worth working for. But Stuart Shepard of FOTF made the appeal, jokingly or not, and there was talk about it in the MSM. I saw them on TV and shook my head. There were those who fully intended to follow his request, soundbites and all from a couple, whether he was serious or not.
