Hemingway ignores the entire notion of international commodity exchanges. And he ignores that much of that oil we'd pump is low grade, heavy or sour. I find it disturbing how he ends with an emotional appeal. Not to mention he completely ignores how the dollar is the driving fact in the price of oil.
Still, at least he does mention some actual facts, such as declining production.
