I would say the guard over stepped his bounds and used excessive force in this situation.

I bet that the taser itseslf hurt the baby more than the fall. It's very unlikely that a baby would be hurt from being dropped a short distance. |

That means that he has extensive training in crisis situations like this and that we can trust his judgment.
- The guard could not confirm that the man claiming to be the father was in fact the father and not just some kidnaper claiming to be the father;
- The man claiming to be the father was threatening the guard;
- The man claiming to be the father WAS THREATANING THE NEWBORN.
