I think that Jerry Falwell was a large part of what is currently wrong with our country. That being said, I don't think he deserved to die for it. I think that celebrating the death of someone else because you don't agree with them is rather petty. I don't think that his death suddenly makes our country better. There are tons of people like him who are determined to legislate their own brand of morality, and it is disgusting. I'm truly hoping that they don't make a big memorial on TV for him like he was some kind of hero. Though, I suppose if they can make Anna Nicole Smith look like some supreme important heroic and iconic figure, they can certainly do it for him. | |
