Both sides do that haymarket, no one has selectively choosing what to believe cornered.

The truth is that teaparty govs popularity is dropping and whats considered quite swiftly in the political world. From the beginning I believed that what they all did out of the gate was going to backfire on them....Payback their supporters and donors with a big tax cut and then go after the little guy to pay for it...after the intial shock people are starting to say WHOA.

Ill say this again America does not like the far left and they dont like the far right any better.

That is true about selectivity. Perhaps it is part of human nature although the hyper-partisan divide which has only been greatly increased because of ideological differences seems to make it worse than ever.

Here in Michigan, Snyder was elected and won by 19 points. Just four months after being sworn in he has lost over 40% of his support and would lose if the election were held today. It is like being on a roller coaster and he just went downhill very very fast.

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

really..... i seem to recall something about a judicial election......

    OH. there it is

All anyone can point to is a highly suspicious Supreme Court race where it looks like a dishonest or imcompetent clerk tried to save the bacon of the GOP.
really? gosh, given that everyone involved in that action - democrat and republican agree that there was no dishonesty involved, nor voter fraud, and given that the numbers involved generally match voter preference and participation for the area for the last several election cycles, do you have any evidence of your claim? or are you just trying to find a way to justify the rejection of your "wave" by Wisconsin voters?

    The tide has indeed turned.
well this is certainly going to be the election cycle where the Public Unions spend every dime they have trying to make that so. so I suppose we shall see

huh, what do you think the implication for them is if they shoot everything they have and still lose? now that's a thought to put a smile on a mans' face.

So... polls showing poorly for Democrats mean nothing (or so liberals and Democrats tell us), but polls showing a Republican doing poorly are harbingers of doom for the GOP.

Don't mean much for either, as neither are rightly popular for good reason.

AUSTAN GOOLSBEE: I think the world vests too much power, certainly in the president, probably in Washington in general for its influence on the economy, because most all of the economy has nothing to do with the government.

These people have all their lives voted democrat. There will be a large hill to climb for those people to vote for Obama, much less give him financial support.

In an attempt to preemt those who will question the loyalty of Jews who care about Israel, this should be viewed no different than the Cuban-Americans that care alot about our relations with Cuba, Irish-Americans who voted on our handling of Ireland etc.

I think they misunderstood what he said, or listened to the Reps try to twist what was actually said. Anyway, if Israel's Prime Minister has nothing but praise for Obama, the Jews in Florida don't have anything to gripe about.

Bibi’s speeches to AIPAC, Congress — no anger at Obama
    by ron kampeas, jta

In two successive speeches this week — one to AIPAC and another to a joint meeting of Congress — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had nothing but praise for President Barack Obama.

The friendly notes not only reversed Netanyahu’s tenor from a few days earlier, but they were even more remarkable in light of how Republicans — and even some Democrats — were rushing to emphasize their differences with Obama on Israel policy.
