Good lord, if the president and his wife want to have satanic death metal bands to the white house to play, more power to them. It's ****ing music, and this whole controversy is painfully stupid.

Im not an obama fan by any means...but who he wants to invite to the whitehouse is on him...Im sure theres been other presidents who have invited people that others found less than desirable...theres so much to go after obama for...eh not this in my opinion

I always find it interesting that the 'real'-America Palin represents.... you know... white middle class right wing protestant America... has absolutely no problem with people like Bruce Springsteen, Johnny Cash, Eazy-E, Kid Rock, Britney Spears, Jhonny Ramone etc being used by the GOP in some form or manner. However, the minute the White House invites what is considered to be one of the most socially conscious rappers in the industry to an event, then it's subject for criticism. It's because of things like this that it's good to be a leftist. You don't get bogged down in bull**** culture wars.

Your post is possibly the most ludicrous posts I have ever seen from a Libertarian since for ever.

This is a joke right, "considered to be one of the most socially conscious rappers," why because he can read up to 3rd grade level?

Your hero degrades woman uses the F-BOMB in front of women and children and called for the Murder of President Bush, a few years ago.

Obama is the fool in this case for inviting a scum bag to the White House.

I'll be damned if I would go across the street to see some so call artist do bad poetry to a beat since most of the subjects covered are illegal acts or about degradation.

BTW, posted this in other thread but it needs to be posted here too. Those upset about Common? Were you all upset when Ronald Regan invited Eazy E to the White House?? Afterall he was a real headleader of Gangster Rap and was with NWA. Did that bother you all too?

Or is this one of those cases of it is fine for a repub to do but damn if the dems invite a talented wordsmith to the white house

I dont know this guy, never heard of him. But is he one of the rappers that degrade women in the songs? Why would obamas wife want him there? Is Common someone her kids should admire and emulate? Why do they admire Common?

I think Palin represent more than your narrow bigoted view and misrepresentation.

The guy called for killing cops... that disqualifies him from a WH visit in almost every WH. Not this one though. He's a proponent of that racist Wright... strike two. But I think we know this is Obama's kind of poet; groomed by his mentor Rev. Chickens come home to roost... Y'all.
