    PSN outage

It's been three days now of no PlayStation Network, and it's really starting to look Anonymous did it. I used to support Anon, but now I don't. Next time I think they should pick targets that wont piss off a lot of their supporters.

I don't own a PlayStation, but who is Anonymous?
Nobody who wins a war indulges in a bifurcated definition of victory. War is a political act; victory and defeat have meaning only in political terms. A country incapable of achieving its political objectives at an acceptable cost is losing the war, regardless of battlefield events.

Bifurcating victory (e.g. winning militarily, losing politically) is a useful salve for defeated armies. The "stab in the back" narrative helped take the sting out of failure for German generals after WWI and their American counterparts after Vietnam.

All the same, it's nonsense. To paraphrase Vince Lombardi, show me a political loser, and I'll show you a loser.

Really? It's still not back up? Damn good thing I don't really play much online on my PS3, Anonymous can suck it though.

    Re: PSN outage

This seems like pretty serious stuff, the network is still down and it's expected to be another week until it's working if I read correctly. It seems credit card info has also been compromised.

.........according to security researchers - and PlayStation Network users - the credit card information has indeed been taken, and is up for sale.....Supposedly the hackers selling the DB says it has: fname, lnam, address, zip, country, phone, email, password, dob, ccnum, CVV2, exp date.

If anonymous did it they wouldn't deny it. This looks like an attempt by criminals looking for financial gain, that's really not anon's style...and yes, the network is still out.

    LOL - That's not Anon's style.

Anon is a group of stupid kids who like to annoy people. . . nothing's out of their range.

The PS3 is good dont bring down the actual console just because of PSN.

    Re: PSN outage

Everyone who has a PSN account, especially if you have a credit card attached to your account, should take all the necessary precautions to avoid having their identity stolen. Sony really ****ed up this time.

So glad we opted to wait on the PS3.
