Obama only paid a 26% income tax rate for 2010

Does believing in God lead a person to become a Republican or are they Republicans first and then led to God?

Besides, not long ago someone said most liberals are also Christians. If that's the case, then it must be their liberalism that keeps them from giving more.

Giving more what?

I have a hunch most cons buy and drive non-GM products. If thats the case, it confirms they like getting screwed over in politics and transportation.

Buying GM products is a rip off.

Ahhh, here we go...your Leaders are supreme hypocrites.....as someone else said....for them its ALWAYS do as I say...not as I do.

I am still waiting for one LEFTY to show where they have EVER sent anything "extra" in.

Sorry, the true "nonsense" lies in the incessant whine that the "Rich" don't pay their "fair share".

....and that the ONLY answer anyone on the Left make the rich pay for everything....sorry....but it's true.

Now let Bammy GIVE everything but his Presidential Salary to the IRS and perhaps I'll listen to him when he is crying about the "other" rich folk.

Sending extra in creates a tax credit... the IRS would attempt to refund it, because it is rightfully your money. You're only option would be to not file (which may be illegal, in Obama's case it would be illegal because of income range) or to allocate the tax credit to go towards future years taxes.. meaning you could take the credit in the future or apply it to a liability. So in essence, the money would still belong to Obama, the IRS would just owe it to him. It would be like lending the money to the IRS, ergo it would be a debt to the federal government.

No...sorry, it's youwho seem to be missing the point :)

Leadership.....not whining....and Bammy's ONLY action is to blame others for everything...you give the Bamster a pass as he decries other people for doing the same thing he does within the Rules of the Tax Code...it ain't the "revenue" skippy...it's the spending.

Econ 101.

Econ 101.. is mirco economics. You need revenue to cover your bills, lowering your expenses doesn't grow or increase your revenue. Economics is a social science, and it's pretty common social behaviour that humans don't try to improve their financial capacity by cutting their expenses and cutting their expenses. At some point, you'll start decreasing your quality of life.

good point

its like guns-liberals don't hate either-they just hate guns and wealth they don't control

Who said they hate guns? And are all con-residents at the WH gun haters as well, and thus are liberals?

Don’t Blame Liberals for Gun Control

And there is no doubt cons hate anyone they don't control or who has less or more than they do. They hate in general, and when they can't find anything to hate, they make up some BS to hate.

Most Christians are republicans and most republicans pander to Christians, so I'd say once you convert to a Christian you'll soon convert to a Republican... but that's if you're really involved in the modern Christian-political movement and not the old fashion follow what-the-bible-really-says movement

People have voting rights... for now anyway.

The issue is not about being rich or poor, its about having the intake in society to be able to practice the responsibility of voting wisely. Understanding the importance of what decisions mean to the people that are paying for services and that people that don't is important in understanding why people vote the way they do. When people vote that with only benefits in mind like most poor people do simply because they aren't paying for the benefits they won't most likely vote in a way that benefits the country as a whole.

I guess it depends if you understand the difference between quality & quantity. My 300 Touring is an American example of luxury. I don't think Ford's Lincoln can compare.

If I was mod I'd thread ban Badmutha from every thread he enters, not because he violates forum rules, its not against the rules to be stupid anyway, but because he degrades every topic he enters so quickly and so thoroughly there's nothing left reading. Its almost inspiring.

such unbridled hatred and ignorance has to be a sign of some defect, could it be that people like that are nuts, or just "conservatives"?

Lets make it simple, American cars suck.

Here is the thing.

Conservatives are complaining about Obama not paying more taxes. And you guys also complain about people taking a handout, as if none of you have ever done it.

I highly doubt any of you have ever refused to take federal grant money for education, refused to take federal or state tax refunds from the government, refused to claim the earned income credit, making work pay credit, retirement savings credit, or the child tax credit when you qualified, insisted on paying the government for services like requesting a copy of SS card despite nobody has to, driving strictly on toll roads whenever you can, or refusing public education for your children despite how you all love to bitch on and on about how awful the public education system is....

You're calling Obama a hypocrite, but by the very same standards all of you are probably hypocrites yourselves...

A Leader......leads......

He says the Rich should pay more.......

He says we should spread the wealth.....

.....why doesnt the President of Hypocrisy put his money where his mouth is?
.
.
.

Because he risks knocking over one of his TelePrompTers putting his money anywhere but in his back pocket.

every federal gun control law passed in the USA was sponsored by dems and signed into law by a dem president except the Hughes amendment which was a poison pill that dem gun hater Rep. Hughes attached (in violation of house rules) to the Mclure-Volker firearms owner protection act. RWR signed the bill into law thinking that the pro gun provisions were important and that the courts would strike down the clearly unconstitutional ban on the registration of machine guns made after May 19, 1986.

Yeah, there's been a thread about this a while ago, the results of the study were that religiosity was what was the biggest factor in being charitable, not being a liberal or conservative.

So Barb never really had a valid point.
and if we take out donations to purely religious causes, charitable donations would be a lot more skewed in favor of the left.....
IMO, churches should act like a business, and pay taxes on profits and property, ministers should pay on their wages...

actually the study found that conservatives gave more per capita to secular charities as well

I tend to agree with you. Republicans in general do not live in reality and are somewhere out there in the heavens. So to find them believing in a pyromaniac mystical being that can't write & lives on top of a volcano comes as no surprise! WMDs are way up there on their reality list.

Jesus is a liberal.....

Are you going to complain about all the millionaires abusing tax loopholes or just assume Obama does it, and only complain about him?

Obama is the one who said he doesn't pay enough in taxes. Why didn't he just go ahead and pay extra, or at least skip the deductions he was allowed?
Same with other asswipe million/billionairs who say they are for higher taxes. If they are serious, they should write a big fat check to the IRS. Otherwise, it's just politics as usual.

that is really silly

its a case of some rich people wanting to ingratiate themselves to the masses

in more sinister cases its the uber wealthy trying to maintain their positions by pushing tax policies that hurt the almost very wealthy

I would bet that most political office holders are christians of convenience.....their church attendance is only high during an election cycle....

If you want to play it like it's rich vs non rich, there are a lot more non wealthy so who do you think will lose?

Sounds like you are a fan of Cloward and Piven. :(
