    New labor plan: Nationwide protests

The new plan, revealed in a planning document reviewed by POLITICO and in the subsequent interview with Henry, reflects the widening recognition by labor leaders that the shrinking national ranks of union members no longer carry the political heft they once did. The draft plan, titled “Fight for a Fair Economy” in what Henry said was a preliminary planning document, would reach outside union ranks to focus on “mobilizing underpaid, underemployed and unemployed workers” and “channeling anger about jobs into action for positive change.”
I was talking to my dad (who is an IBEW member) this morning about this crap. My dad's words exactly

"The whinny bastards need to shut the **** up and get back to work"

Weird how your dad will reap the benefits of unionization while criticizing other people for trying to do the same.
He touched her over her bra and underpants, she says, and guided her hand to touch him over his underwear

Hypocrisy is as old as mankind.

Great article. Great union strategy. Its about time and well overdue. Walker and his anti-union far right zealots have awakened a sleeping giant. Now they have to contend with it.

One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

Weird how people like Deuce want to claim everyone benefits from unions. It is possible that this gentleman is working in a closed shop and it's join the union or not work. You know, freedom, organized-crime style.

There is a difference between protesting against a scumbag employer who deliberately breaks signed contracts (for example not paying wages on agreed timeframe) and protesting for the sake of protesting. There has been a long silent hatred between private sector unions (which is what my father is) and public sector. Private sector unions take their medicine when it time to take it while public sector whine like spoiled brats.

Union workers are the only labor in this country that make a fair wage and have decent working conditions for the most part...non union shops are PAID FAR LESS get NO benefits no pensions get to work longer hours and guess WHO profits and pockets from the fruits of their labor.
The ones that whine about unions benefit without them

Not true but when you consider the normal conduct of union goons and thugs, lying is a minor infraction. I wonder when Mr. Trumka will realize he has a bunk buddy in the White House but not many outside in the world?

I never joined a union and my pay and benefits were fine. In fact, and it is a fact, our pay and benefits deteriorated when the corrupt, brutal, and incompetent brought in a union to protect them. I will agree. They need a union. People who aren't corrupt, aren't brutal, and arent' incompetent, don't.

Your probably right, taking the unions off the nipple of the state will in deed be difficult. The leftist and unions will win this fight eventually, and later on these individuals will find themselves in the unemployment line living in a state that is insolvent. So it is greed that motivates these people and as a result this generation will screw the next.
