New polls show Christie whos favorables were sky high are dropping the more he bullies and runs his face. The drop is significant when you consider the polls were only a month apart...people are waking up to this attack on the middle and working class by the teaparty spoiled brats.

The survey of 1,532 registered voters found 47 percent approve and 46 percent disapprove — a significant drop from the last Quinnipiac poll in February that had Christie at a 52 percent to 40 percent positive rating

So has christie lol

This comes right on the heels of another poll which said that less than one in four New Jersey citizens would support Christie on the 2012 national GOP ticket. There is little doubt that a figure like Christie is divisive and polarizing and that is an issue in and of itself which many citizens do not like.

Christie is not one fish alone in the tank. Similar ratings drops have been produced for Walker in Wisconsin, Kasich in Ohio and Snyder in Michigan. For Snyder, he dropped farther in just three months than the previous governor had done in six years of approval ratings. These stealth governors think they can sneak in on relatively moderate platforms and then throw off the Halloween costume of the moderate and get away with it. Sorry, but there is a price to pay for deception and radical right wing legislation.

That's still higher than Obama's.

They are also higher than menendez, and the corpse known as frankenlautenberger....

Christie, is doing what this state needs, while it may be uncomfortable, its the right thing to do. "we can't afford it" doesn't sit well with the dependent class.

I think it's rather refreshing to see governors get tough to save their states, and not worrying about the next election. Unpopular things need doing and they seem willing to do them.

Any time someone threatens the hand out programs, the left gets their panties twisted. The fact that the state was facing financial ruin is immaterial to those that suck on that resource Johnson but share no responsibility in paying for it. Every time I hear people say the rich should pay 'their fair share' it just makes me laugh...because it usually is coming from people that dont pay a thing.

Yeah...Christie should just let the state continue to rack up debt. The federal government should just continue piling on debt. Every state should be irresponsible with their budget. Because that trend is sustainable and has been working so well for so long...right?

14.5 trillion and its about to go to 15+. Brilliant. But then...when people aren't responsible for paying for the irresponsibility of others...what do they care...but boy howdy dont they get pissed when you threaten to upset the gravy train.

I guess it depends on who does the polling, and who you ask...

FDU Poll: Christie job approval at 51% | Politicker NJ
Fifty-one percent of New Jersey voters approve of the way Chris Christie is handling his job as governor; while 41% disapprove, according to this morning's Fairleigh Dickinson University’s PublicMind poll.

“He’s not the Teflon governor,” said Peter Woolley, a political scientist and director of the poll, “But right now he looks like the armored governor.”

Christie’s approval rating is slightly better than his favorability rating: he is viewed favorably by 47% and unfavorably by 41%. That is better than the NJEA, the teachers’ union he has consistently criticized, which is viewed favorably by 39% and unfavorably by 38%, Woolley noted.

More than three of five voters (64%) continue to say the state should hold the line on spending even if many programs are reduced, while one in four (26%) say the state should raise taxes if necessary to support state programs. Those who say the budget should be cut, even if it means cutting programs, approve of the governor by a 2-to-1 margin (63%-29%), while those who say taxes should be raised disapprove of the governor by more than a 2-to-1 margin (69%-25%).

Save their states from what? Their own tax decreases and the crisis that then results? Gimme a break.

My state, NJ, could no longer afford to stay on the same track, neither can NY, which is why Cuomo a democrat is doing essentially the same thing as Mr. Christie. I applaud both of them.

Reverend, the only thing that christie has yet to accomplish is giving the wealthiest in NJ and corporations a tax cut when he first got in office that hasnt brough one job to nj in almost two years and has improved the deficit instead...the rest of the media attention he gets is ALL MOUTH he hasnt gotten one thing passed. Hes a loud mouthed load reverened who people are catching on too.

We cant afford falls on deaf ears when all the teaparty brats do is give themselves huge tax cuts...were not all stupid reverend and btw I am not one of the dependent class and never was..Im part of the realistic class and the class that realizes the rich are full of chit and just want it all...

christie is the republicans best hope for 2012 - even tho he has insisted he is not willing to run
he says some good things which need to be heard
unfortunately, his manner turns people off so that they never hear his message

New Jersey Sees Private Sector Job Growth - Metropolis - WSJ
New Jersey’s unemployment rate held steady at 9.2% in November and the state gained 10,000 jobs, largely in the private sector, the state labor department said Wednesday.

NEXT!

Here's a nice comparison od Christie and Obama...

What Obama Can Learn From Chris Christie - Newsweek
Yet with economic growth in a near stall, unemployment approaching 10 percent, and experts warning of a double-dip recession, Obama is struggling to recover from the worst midterm rout in 65 years—while Christie, 48, is more popular than ever. A November Quinnipiac poll shows that 51 percent of New Jerseyites approve of the governor’s performance, compared with only 38 percent who don’t—a spread that has grown 12 points since June.
The easiest way to understand why Christie has flourished and why Obama has faltered is to look at the jobs they held before entering politics. From January 2002 to December 2008, Christie served as New Jersey’s top federal prosecutor; earlier, Obama spent 12 years as a constitutional-law professor at the University of Chicago. Today, Christie leads like the prosecutor he once was, identifying the crime, fingering the culprit, and methodically building a case designed to convince a jury of his peers. “Christie is who he is,” says Ruth Mandel, director of the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University. “If you spend years exercising your biceps, those are muscles you’re going to have.” Obama, meanwhile, leads like a professor, examining all angles of an issue and seeking evolutionary change by consensus. There are strengths and weaknesses in both approaches. But in an age of anger and austerity, Obama may have more to learn from Christie than the other way around.
But while Christie has framed the debate for maximum maneuverability—like his tough-talking but eminently practical hero, Ronald Reagan, who has been canonized by conservatives even though he raised taxes 12 times as president—Obama has received little credit for even his most impressive accomplishments. If the professor in chief is going to address America’s most profound fiscal problems in the weeks and months ahead—and emerge with his political capital intact—he should work to sharpen his prosecutorial skills. Otherwise, the verdict that voters deliver in 2012 may sting.

Christie cannot WIN thats a total utter teaparty foxnews fabrication...he says the same few lines over and over and over and NJ is getting tired of it...on the national stage he'd be a big zero...plus I doubt physically he could take a presidential campaign.

Seriously, how long do you think attacking the working class and blaming them for the deficit and your broken dishwasher is going to last...how long do you think the working class majority is going to listen to oinkers like christie denigrate them and hail all the super rich and corporations how long do you think the working class is going to let the teaparty tell them the rich should pay no taxs and they deserve nothing....when this is said and done..I will remind you what I said her and remind you the teaparty killed themselves by being far right like pelosi did being far left...the working class is going to catch on they are beginning to now

What part of held steady dont yhou understand...the gained 10,000 and lost 10,000 stay tuned christie will shortly be in the negatives...

reading comprehension is not your strong skill, I see. They did not gain and lose 10,000 jobs, and I've no idea how you came up with that nonsense based on the article.

This is why the rate remained unchanged, even after adding 10,000 jobs...
The number of people working or looking for work in New Jersey fell by 4,100, helping to keep the unemployment rate at 9.2%.

for a guy living in Florida, you seem to 'claim' to know a lot about NJ.
