    Christie favorables are dropping

New polls show Christie whos favorables were sky high are dropping the more he bullies and runs his face. The drop is significant when you consider the polls were only a month apart...people are waking up to this attack on the middle and working class by the teaparty spoiled brats.

The survey of 1,532 registered voters found 47 percent approve and 46 percent disapprove — a significant drop from the last Quinnipiac poll in February that had Christie at a 52 percent to 40 percent positive rating

I remember when my favourables dropped, my voice got deeper and I started growing hair in strange places.
So follow me into the desert
    As desperate as you are
Where the moon is glued to a picture of heaven
And all the little pigs have God

    Re: Christie favorables are dropping

This comes right on the heels of another poll which said that less than one in four New Jersey citizens would support Christie on the 2012 national GOP ticket. There is little doubt that a figure like Christie is divisive and polarizing and that is an issue in and of itself which many citizens do not like.

Christie is not one fish alone in the tank. Similar ratings drops have been produced for Walker in Wisconsin, Kasich in Ohio and Snyder in Michigan. For Snyder, he dropped farther in just three months than the previous governor had done in six years of approval ratings. These stealth governors think they can sneak in on relatively moderate platforms and then throw off the Halloween costume of the moderate and get away with it. Sorry, but there is a price to pay for deception and radical right wing legislation.

The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

    That's still higher than Obama's.

They are also higher than menendez, and the corpse known as frankenlautenberger....

Christie, is doing what this state needs, while it may be uncomfortable, its the right thing to do. "we can't afford it" doesn't sit well with the dependent class.

I think it's rather refreshing to see governors get tough to save their states, and not worrying about the next election. Unpopular things need doing and they seem willing to do them.

Any time someone threatens the hand out programs, the left gets their panties twisted. The fact that the state was facing financial ruin is immaterial to those that suck on that resource Johnson but share no responsibility in paying for it. Every time I hear people say the rich should pay 'their fair share' it just makes me laugh...because it usually is coming from people that dont pay a thing.

Yeah...Christie should just let the state continue to rack up debt. The federal government should just continue piling on debt. Every state should be irresponsible with their budget. Because that trend is sustainable and has been working so well for so long...right?

14.5 trillion and its about to go to 15+. Brilliant. But then...when people aren't responsible for paying for the irresponsibility of others...what do they care...but boy howdy dont they get pissed when you threaten to upset the gravy train.

    Re: Christie favorables are dropping

I guess it depends on who does the polling, and who you ask...

FDU Poll: Christie job approval at 51% | Politicker NJ
Fifty-one percent of New Jersey voters approve of the way Chris Christie is handling his job as governor; while 41% disapprove, according to this morning's Fairleigh Dickinson University’s PublicMind poll.

“He’s not the Teflon governor,” said Peter Woolley, a political scientist and director of the poll, “But right now he looks like the armored governor.”

Christie’s approval rating is slightly better than his favorability rating: he is viewed favorably by 47% and unfavorably by 41%. That is better than the NJEA, the teachers’ union he has consistently criticized, which is viewed favorably by 39% and unfavorably by 38%, Woolley noted.
More than three of five voters (64%) continue to say the state should hold the line on spending even if many programs are reduced, while one in four (26%) say the state should raise taxes if necessary to support state programs. Those who say the budget should be cut, even if it means cutting programs, approve of the governor by a 2-to-1 margin (63%-29%), while those who say taxes should be raised disapprove of the governor by more than a 2-to-1 margin (69%-25%).
