He blasted Ryan in his speech... so his off camera comments were not inconsistent. Besides, it is not inconsistent nor intellectually dishonest to praise on some attributes and admonish on others..... this is just silliness.

I wish he'd say stuff like this more often, I'd feel more proud of him as my President.
I'd respect him more even if I still disagreed with his policies.

THAT is the sound of the man that I voted for. Maybe in his second term Obama might actually grow a spine and stand up to the the right-wing and give America what they voted for.

Oh man he be sayin some real ****! Just wish he had the balls to say it on camera.
Nobody who wins a war indulges in a bifurcated definition of victory. War is a political act; victory and defeat have meaning only in political terms. A country incapable of achieving its political objectives at an acceptable cost is losing the war, regardless of battlefield events.

Bifurcating victory (e.g. winning militarily, losing politically) is a useful salve for defeated armies. The "stab in the back" narrative helped take the sting out of failure for German generals after WWI and their American counterparts after Vietnam.

All the same, it's nonsense. To paraphrase Vince Lombardi, show me a political loser, and I'll show you a loser.

Oooh no - he said it in private, too!

Look - the President's been bashing the conservatives, GOP and Tea Party every chance he gets - I don't *imagine* for one moment that his rhetoric tones *down* off mic. I just can't believe people are locking onto this and complaining.

Which IMO is disappointing because people need to hear the truth of the matter. People needed to know what the budget debate by the GOP concerning the 6-month spending bill was really all about: Ideology and winning political points rather than doing what was right for the country.

There's the part where the President spoke of the GOP staffer stating "...we need something to bring back to our Caucus." It only shows that politics, not practicality was 100% in play for the GOP. It's not about putting this country on sound footing with them. It's about regaining power and undermining any end-roads that have been made to date by the President and his party.

You like that gangsta stuff. Maybe it would be better if he rapped out his speeches.

Why complain we get the government we deserve. America really deserves The "leadership" of Obama. Lets hope america can become as exceptional as Greece or Portugal. Maybe Germany will bail out us as well.

For a president to attack a lowly congressmperson shows no b****. It shows he is a low class bully who looks good in a suit as Biden said cleans up well.
