Glenn Beck to End Daily Fox News Program

And still 3 hours on the radio everyday with the #3 radio program in America. :)

...for now. This is not a victory for Glenn Beck, or his fans, no matter how positive and stiff upper lip you attempt to be, Mell-darling.

Glenn Beck's show is going to end just as some had said it would, and what do those who said it wouldn't happen do...they talk about Media Matters like any one actually cares what MM says.

I don't even know what media matters is, so it appears that the Beck fans pay more attention to it than most of the rest of us.

Actually, it is. :)

With 4 blackboards and a lot of chalk, I can link Beck's firing to the trifecta of pure lefty evil; Michael Moore, Keith Olbermann, and Richard Simmons. The latter hypnotized Roger Ailes with sequinned bling, which proved to be the last fabulous straw in Beck's demise. Pure ****ing evil, I tell ya.

Beck was fired?

Its like James O'Keefe for far lefties. And more retarded.

Why do all the Beck haters keep saying Beck was fired? Seems to me that when you're fired, you no longer work with the company that fired you.....

the contract for his tv show was not renewed. do you really think that was beck's choice? contrary to what a lot of you posted, his rating are going in the crapper, and advertisers have been dropping like flies. so yes, he was fired.

Yes, I think it was his choice. He's been talking about changing things up for months now. And no, 2 million viewers on cable news at 5 p.m. isn't "going in the crapper". If that's what it is to you, then holy cow....every single show on MSNBC and CNN should be dissolved.

And, no, he wasn't fired, honey. I know you want it to be true so very badly. Fired people don't still work with the company.

Yes, ratings are down. However, he's still the #3 show on Fox News. I'm thinking that's not "in the crapper", as you call it. :)

And his ratings had been dropping and his sponsors where dropping and his bosses where not happy for that period of time too. Whether FOX was simply unwilling to renew the show, or Beck was not willing to accept the terms FOX was willing to offer, or something else no one knows, but the strong evidence is that Beck was, if not fired, then offered little enough that it amounted to the same thing.

Don't you think he would have stayed if the ratings were better, though?

Most of his sponsors dropped 2 years ago and simply moved their commercials to another show on the same network. If Fox was upset with him, they would've cancelled the show then.

I believe this was probably mostly Beck's idea. He's been restless for a long time. People who actually listen to him on a regular basis instead of listening to other people talk about him aren't really all that surprised by this.

Beck's show is the #3 show, in all cable news shows; right where he's been for years. If his ratings are down, then everyone's ratings are down.

He has the #3 rated show on Fox, so I don't think it had much to do with ratings. If they were 3 million or 4 million again? I don't know. I just know what I've heard him saying for months now. He wants to get out of NYC.

corrected.....

seriously overstated... not surprising coming from you though.

Number 3???

He should not only have been fired, he should have been tarred, feathered, and run out of FOX-land on the thinnest rail possible!

He wasn't fired, he was demoted from having a daily show to being an occasional commenter.
