Great, so we agree - he wants public unions gone.

<------- The irony is not lost on me; had this one for a while now

PS - The Lenin Shipyard (Gdansk) at the time was government owned! According to the logic of our right leaning friends on here Solidarity were thugs and gangsters.

I pointed this facet out many weeks ago.

The parallels between the Wisconsin GOP and Soviet/Nazi anti-union measures are unmistakable.

Absolutely absurd. Here's what Hitler did:

Reviewing a transcript of the opening statement of the chief U.S. counsel in the Nuremberg Trials, we found the Nazis:

    • Seized all funds of labor unions and arrested union leaders, sending them to concentration camps.
    • Ordered that no workers organizations, except ones created by Hitler, would exist.
    • Replaced collective bargaining with Hitler-appointed "trustees" to regulate the conditions of all labor contracts.
    • So, Hitler abolished all unions and collective bargaining by decree, not with legislation. And he used force to liquidate the unions that did exist.

For those of you who have the audacity to compare the democratic process being used in Wisconsin and other states to Adolph Hitler and the Nazi Party, I have two words for you: You're wrong.

    Absolute tripe.

So. Tasha. Please list these unmistakable similarities. I'll wait. Don't buy into the hype, Tasha. You're much more intelligent than that.

My name is Tashah. Not Tasha. Solidarity views it exactly as I do... the Wisconsin GOP is traveling down a very slippery slope.

Please explain this so-called slippery slope. Because I call that slippery slope democracy in action. Certainly not Nazi Germany. Competely ridiculous.

I daresay, real democracy is about to transpire. Recalls.

That's a fair statement. Comparing this situation to Nazi Germany is not.

The over-the-top **** ought to stop. Union sympathizers are pickin' up what their union leaders are puttin' down. It's incendiary and shows a desperation that makes all the rest of us think Walker's doing exactly the right thing. It will be interesting to see what happens. This is probably one of the most interesting clashes of democracy we've seen in this country in decades.

He wouldn't have a choice but to do so, and none of the Republicans who voted for the measure would be getting recalled if that was the case... They made their beds, they went against the majority of the people and now they have to answer to the people. Dan is just pointing it out.
