    well you are right that it's not a cut. it's extending to each retiring American senior (starting in 2022) the ability to have the same health insurance that members of congress get.

    it's not going to be my daddy's Medicare anyway. the question is whether or not there is to be a Medicare at all. by slowing the growth of it's costs now, we can ensure that it will exist in the future. allowed to grow unchecked, it will instead crash the system on which it is dependent.
