This is stupid, when will people realize this behavior hurts their cause? Throw the book at her!!

A 26 year-old woman from Cross Plains, WI has been charged with two felonies for allegedly sending death-threat emails to Republican state Senators at the height of the dispute over Gov. Scott Walker's (R) collective bargaining law.

According to reports from the Dane County, WI district attorney's office, Katherine Windels of Cross Plains admitted to investigators she was behind the March 9 emails, which were sent to 15 Republican senators on the night the Senate passed the controversial collective bargaining restrictions for state workers favored by Walker.

I agree. This is just unacceptable. It's always going to be a danger, though, when groups rile up their bases to the extent the unions have done in Wisconsin. Their rhetoric has been sooooo over the top that it's little wonder a few supporters knee-jerked over the top as well.

Thank you for starting this thread, pb. This kind of crap happens on both sides and it needs to stop.

She should be prosecuted to the fullest extent, and the Wisconsin Republicans who engineered this Soviet-style crap should all be recalled.

She said she was confused because she didn't know why she wrote it,
ah - the "devil made me do it" defense.

Here's more that need caught and prosecuted.

Mackinac Center Received Bomb Threats and Death Threats Over FOIA Request [Michigan Capitol Confidential]
In one message, a female voice said: “Scotty Walker is dead. So are you. We know where you live.” The woman then recited the Mackinac Center’s address and said, “We are coming up to destroy you.”
In another message, a female who left her name said: “You are on Main Street. You are the first place to be bombed.”
The Mackinac Center for Public Policy has been in the spotlight after some national news organizations reported that the Midland-based think tank submitted a FOIA request to Wayne State University, Michigan State University and the University of Michigan. The FOIA asked for specific emails from professors in the labor studies departments that referenced Wisconsin collective bargaining, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker or MSNBC talk show personality Rachel Maddow. Maddow had made comments on her show critical of Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder’s emergency financial manager act.

I read two "news" articles about Ms. Windels before I saw one that mentioned what she did for a living and what organizations she might belong to. It is handy to have the press as a laptdog.

Tell em, the people demanding a recall, are they going to go with a normal election or are they insisting on card check where they can come to your home and threaten your family? Are they allowed to lie and threaten people to get their petitions signed? Just curious. I've never been a career criminal so I'm not sure how these things work.
