I've been doing what for a couple of weeks? Where did you serve and who did you serve with? When's the last time Fragged was used in the field?

So General Petraeus, and General Mattis aren't "real boots-on-the-ground" enough for you? It's they who wrote the counterinsurgency manual and outlined "hearts-and-minds."

I spent two years in Iraq and a year in Afghanistan. You have no idea what's going on in the world. You know squat about the military...todays or yesterdays, you know nothing of tactics....you're just a scared little christian that thinks women voluntarily wearing a head scarf somehow insults you.

Get a life, home-slice.
 
Are we still on about this? Most military folk that have been there recognize this has been done for at least a decade and most women that did it while I was there did it by choice...it made their lives easier...and it just wasnt that big of a deal.

Encouraged are not forcing them to wear it.
I think its mainly because we are on their land not ours, trying to make us adapt and understand their culture. To win a war you need to understand their culture and their way of life and their thinking before we just send a bunch of American troops over there that have never been adapted to their way of life, we need to understand their way of life. Think of it as a way to remember this statement "win the hearts and minds".
