bull****, when people come here they are allowed to do whatever the hell they want. If they expect us to respect their culture in their country, then they should respect ours in our country.

Oh, I get it. If guys like you were running the show...9/11 would be a near daily occurrence.

No, but I do not live my life by worrying about who likes me and who doesn't

Right, and they don't have to honor ours, you know....like not to commit terror attacks.

Pull your head out of your ass for about three seconds a smell something other than your own ****. Maybe then you'll realize that mutual respect helps...a lot.

Ahhh, so you condone thier "right" to kill innocents because Allah demands it....and I have zero reason to respect a culture that denigrates all cultures that do not bow to it's will...sorry....but you have no idea what you are talking about.

Really because in certain areas of Africa women walk around with their breasts hanging out - can they do that here? No.

People are expected to speak English and looked down upon if they don't - even by many liberals (businesses who want money are the ones who make sure they have Spanish options). People are also expected to treat women with respect - not so for certain areas of the world. Hating homosexuals is hardly accepted here as it is in much of the world (even many who condemn homosexuality don't accept pure hatred of homosexuals - see the general reaction to Westboro Baptist Church).

In other countries, people have no problem with physical contact with strangers in public, on buses, etc. - in the United States people would look at you like you're crazy if you got as close as those in other places do. What about talking loudly in public places or having loud arguments in public - two things common in other cultures but not acceptable here.

We don't kill people or stone them when people disrespect our cultural expectations, but we certainly expect other people to abide by them and get annoyed or pissed when they don't.

with emphasis on "we expect". I guess you have forgotten about incidents like those where the muslims were raising all kinds of hell because they wanted to be able to wear veils in their DL photos.

That's all I've ever said, that "we expect" them to respect our culture. If we have those expectations of others, then I think we should also have them of ourselves. I expect people to know English when they come here and I expect myself to know French when I go to France.

like my old drill SGT used to say...you can expect in one hand and **** in the other and see which one fills up first.

Of course you do Special Agent.

You don't know anything if you think they just want to be "respected" and "understood".
