Oil and Gas laying idle in Gulf

2/3s of Oil and gas leases lay idle in the gulf, which translates into 11 billion barrels of oil laying idle and 50 trillion cubic feet of gas. This is madness, especially when were paying brazil and allowing china to drill off the coast.

Tell the people of La to vote for Obama in the next election and he might tell his folks to allow permits.

Obama's recent poll approval rating has fallen significantly in numerous polls since the gas and oil price have skyrocketted. I find it just absolutely amazing at how he is such a decieving monster sometimes, as he is when it comes to drilling in the United States. The POTUS stated in regards to high prices, that drilling in the US was at an all time high, and merely tried taking credit for it, which is funny, because a lot of the oil reserves that are opened today, should be credited to past administrations, since it is a long drawn out process to tap an oil reserve, but hey take credit for it Obama. Although, if you do some research, since the BP Oil spill he hasn't opened a single one since, he's actually shut down more than he has opened, for instance...

Also, I figured I'd just throw in this article thast always blows my mind when it comes to untapped oil reserves, and yes, these numbers are correct.

Armenian Cafe: untapped oil reserves of USA are estimated up to 2.3 Trillion barrels
Yet the United States is sitting on the world's largest untapped oil reserve. A natural resource that would not only mitigate the over $400 Billion sent overseas to other countries but could create untold millions of jobs and put the country on a sound financial footing.

The untapped reserves are estimated up to 2.3 Trillion barrels, nearly three times the reserves held by the OPEC countries and sufficient to meet 300 years of demand, at today's levels -- for auto, truck, aircraft, heating and industrial fuel, without importing a single barrel of oil
