Catawa is my favorite bleeding heart liberal.
"It ain't what they call you, it's what you answer to." - W. C. Fields
You call me arrogant, yet you claim to be privy to the secret, dark motivations of the President of the United States and the "radicals" around him? I'm not so arrogant as to indulge such a fantasy.
But that aside, my point is about cable news. Cable news often provides accurate, factual information. But it also spews a lot of nonsense and too often just scratches the surface of the issues it raises. You asked me which sources you should go to? The real answer is that any source of factual information is good. But accurately interpreting that factual information requires context and reason. That's why I said to read books and challenge your own paradigms ... because it doesn't matter where you get your news if you're a savvy consumer of news.
BTW, I question myself all the time. I may come off as a know-it-all, but I try to be careful and to say what I mean.
