Maybe it's time to get the weasels out of the hen house, It’s become apparent that the major political parties either have no interest, no desire or lack the ability to effectively address the problems we are dealing with in America today. In order to address the problems that the majority of Americans are facing today we could form a new political party and we need to do it before we in America are in the streets like the people of the middle east are. If we continue on the path we are on the majority of American people will be living at or below the poverty line. If we have to drift away from the old political ideologies’ which are no longer working then we should do what has to done

Since it appears that businesses have no incentive to return to America maybe the government "we the people" should get involved in the creation of wealth , you know instead of creating wars to ensure the flow of oil to American corporations we could form government corporations to handle the oil from the ground to the pump that way we could lessen the impact on the consumer by controlling prices and put the profits back into the government “we the people” for research and development of alternate energy sources and other technical advances.

There are many business opportunities here in America and many unemployed qualified Americans to fill the employment opportunities that would be generated if "we the people" use our combined federal and state taxes to finance corporations that we would own. Revenues generated by corporations owned by "we the people" would not be used to pay CEOs huge salaries and bonuses, to make multi millionaires and billionaires on wall street, nor would they be used to build the economies of foreign countries or squirreled away in foreign bank accounts. The distribution of monies earned by "we the people" corporations would be more fairly distributed from the CEO to the man/woman who have hands on involvement.

America is on an economic down turn that will not stop until we either address it or our pay scales and standard of living reach the levels of the foreign countries we are competing with

To continue what we are doing only ensures us that our country, our economy and our standard of living will continue on a downward slide until we are right back where we started when the first people stepped foot off of the Mayflower.

We need a new political party which addresses the problems of “we the people” , that is dedicated to protecting our way of life, that puts America and Americans first. We have the ability to organize and force peaceful changes that take care of Americans first. If we the people can not take care of our own people then we can not and should not take care of any other country

This wildly inaccurate claim started as an inflated, partisan assertion that 16,500 new IRS employees might be required to administer the new law. That devolved quickly into a claim, made by some Republican lawmakers, that 16,500 IRS "agents" would be required. Republican Rep. Ron Paul of Texas even claimed in a televised interview that all 16,500 would be carrying guns. None of those claims is true.

Do you have a source for this motto you attribute to President Obama? This is not the reality show Survivor our nations economy and future is at stake, stealing and lying should not be character traits that we reward.

you can continue posting about Ron Paul all you want but I don't see what it has to do with the thread subject, which is of a politician not paying taxes

As a joke, I linked to a politician willfully returning tax money, and given it was from a press release from today, I thought it was a timely and humourous diversion from the subject at hand

what your doing though...I'm actually not sure what your doing? seems wildly out of place, and old news.

Did you post the link "a breath of fresh air"? So let me see it was okay for you to take the thread off topic because it was humorous, then I just posted the Ron Paul fact check links because I thought it was humorous. I don't find the future of our country to be a humorous subject, whether a politician is stealing from us by not paying their taxes or stealing from us by lying, fabricating information or misrepresenting facts in my opinion should not be a character trait that we reward with our votes. We are responsible for the poor character traits that we tolerate from those we elect to represent us. If you don't feel that those we elect to office, that those that we intrust the future of our country to should be expected to be honest then you are contributing to the apparent mind set of our elected representatives who think they don't owe us the truth.
