    Period. End of story.

They knew they couldn't follow the rules and win a vote, so they pulled a James T Kirk and tried to change the conditions of the game. Unlike Kirk, they don't get a commendation for original thinking.
is that like when Nancy Pelosi pulled parliamentarian tricks to force an unreconciled senate bill through the House after the election of RINO Scott Brown almost doomed their hopes for Obamacare?

No, it was nothing like that at all.

The law said that a quorom of 20 had to be present for BUDGET BILLS. If a bill isn't a budget bill, say, for example, a bill ending a pressure group's monopoly on workplace employment, then it can pass with simple majorities.

Gee, it was too bad all the Democrats were on vacation when that happened. Seems that part of the job of a state senator is to be present at the capitol to provide representation for their constituents and to debate all bills that are brought to the floor. By being the real wusses, the Wisconsin Democrats allowed their evil constituents to be blind sided with absolutely no public debate whatsoever.

But you go ahead, keep your eyes closed to the truth.

Unions will be very organized, though, so who know what the ultimate outcome will be.
More importantly, the union will be corrupt. The neighboring state of Minnesota had Al Franken winning precinct with more votes than voters, and the Democrats and the anti-American media never blinked an eye.

If the people of Wisconsin want to keep the freedoms they're slowly winning back from the unions they damn well better pay super close attention to the coming shenanigans.

Nobody's denied the state workers they're non-existent collective bargaining rights. Certainly the union will continue to represent those willing to write checks to the union to keep their membership open.

The other workers have regained their right to not be in the union.

Mayor Snorkum wonders how many state employees will be voting against the recalls enabled by the signatures their unions forced them to sign.

THAT makes a mockery of the whole union thing. Union members don't dare to not sign the petition because it's public record, but let's see how they vote.

    Oh, wait.

It's a secret ballot. The union bosses won't be able to tell how they voted.

So you're saying government spending is the problem.

Andn collective bargaining rights were not removed.

Collective bargaining is not a right, it's a privilege. And it's an improper privilege overly abused and it's been revoked.

I often enjoy looking at what lean these folks are after publishing nonsensical drivel... just to see if they own up to who they really are.

And I had to laugh my ass of at the claim it is Corporate Welfare that is bankrupting us. Let's see... how many unfunded entitlement programs do we have? How overpaid are government workers and why do we have so many? What country is #2 in corporate taxes, and why are companies and corporations leaving to set up shop elsewhere? Could it be union wages? Could it be overbearing government regulations? Could it be punitive taxation? And Obama wrote how big a check to stimulate the economy? How's that government program worked out? All those "shovel ready" jobs?
