Yes makes for some great headlines, talking points and some desired results on the short-term, but not much more. As far as it being the conservative base right now, sure it is more touchy. However, "Yes We Can" repeat ad nauseam produced many of the same trite characterizations of Washington and politics in general. It surely had the base believing for at least a short time, somehow "Washington will be changed"-their way. It is always a ridiculous fantasy, serving the needs of children rather than adults.

The partisanship, however, is rather normal and healthy. To a degree with have lost voices of supposed moderation, that is quite a fair description. Nevertheless, the partisanship is partially a thing of public discussion rather than administrative reality.

nah, Obama don't hate the country, he hates white people.

They didn't have to. She did an excellent job of that all on her own.

Palin ‘due in Israel’ for private visit | The Raw Story

i can see it now, bibbi to palin:

Anyway, I don't see the big deal. So she's visiting Israel.
I'm sure Netanyahu will find her to be better company than Obama who left him standing by the trash.

JERUSALEM — Sarah Palin, darling of the US Republican right, is to arrive in Israel at the weekend for a "private visit" during which she will meet Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu, media reports said on Thursday.

A spokesman for the Israeli premier could not immediately confirm a report in the top-selling Yediot Aharonot newspaper that the former Alaska governor was due to arrive on Sunday with her husband Todd for a two-day visit.

The ultra-conservative politician, who was the Republican Party's vice presidential nominee in 2008, is expected to arrive late on Sunday and to meet Netanyahu on Tuesday morning before leaving for the Far East later that day, the paper said.

During the trip, which Israeli parliamentary sources told the paper was "a private visit," Palin is to visit Jerusalem's Old City as well as Christian sites in northern Israel.

The aim of the trip is to become acquainted with Israel ahead of an official visit she is planning in the coming months, Yediot said.

The controversial former governor has emerged as a powerful force in US conservative politics, and speculation is mounting that she will announce a bid to run for the Republicans in the 2012 presidential race.

Darling sounds sarcastic, ultra-conservative is problematic to say the least, and controversial is accurate but could be a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I think he doesn't appreciate her. He's already said she's exceptional, but ruined it when he went on to say other countries were too. He wants to fundamentally transform her, so no, I don't think he loves her.
It's like if he said, sure I think my wife is beautiful, but many husbands think their wives are beautiful too. Therefore my wife is no more beautiful than anyone elses. I also hate my wifes breast size. We can fix that. She needs a nose job and I dislike the way she nags me. She could stand to work out at the gym more too. Her cooking sucks and she snores. Yea, I love my wife, I just wish she was totally different than she is.
That's how I think Obama feels about America.
