Glenn Beck: Japan Earthquake Might Be A 'Message' From God (AUDIO)

I'd say the reason the Japanese are calm compared to those in Katrina and Haiti is because they're prepared, they know they live on a fault line, and they know they're at risk of tsunamis, so they have plans, the government has plans, and every one is more-or-less as prepared as you can get.

The Muslim God killed 3,000 Americans because we didn't believe in him and support Israel. Now Barbbtx probably thinks I'm funny and apdst thinks I'm just stating historical facts. And for a limited time, if you pay $29.99USD, Hatuey will show you how to be a right wing retard! Call now!

True, but no one could have prepared for what they are going through.

:lamo :lamo :lamo

That was mean, but still funny.... :shh

And I guess Glenn Beck losing his vision is an act of God too.

Too bad it's not his ****ing voice.

Glenn Beck loses his job... an act of God.

All successful intelligent people, what do they have to do with GB?

But mentally unstable people see things that aren't there.

If you you like his show, shut it off and see a doctor.

By 'research' do you mean read his books? Or watch Sean Hannity?

I get it, you don't like him. No by research I mean research. If I watch his broadcast, I take notes, then I come back to the internet (you know this wonderful place with lots of information) and look for sources. I have many historical links with actual documentation. Why is you people think that we can't think for ourselves. Is it because you watch Bill Maher and those of his ilk?

As for Hannity, his program is mostly "opinion" and I'm not that found of his show.

Lets see 51% of registered republican voters do not believe that President Obama was born in the USA another 23% are not sure. Does that mean that 75% of registered republicans voters believe that the RNC would not have checked to make sure that President Obama was born in the USA? Would that suggest to you that a large percentage of conservatives don't bother to check or do you think that they just want to believe what ever they hear?

Well let's compare. I'm a registered republican. I believe that Obama was born in Hawaii. I know that he was raised in Indonesia, by his step father and mother, but we sent to live with this maternal grandparents around the age of 10, who also lived in Hawaii. I know that his father was from Kenya. I know that Obama is, according to family a third generation muslim (by birth) according to his Aunt Sarah an I quote "And I quote "There's three generations of Muslims in the family,"Auntie Sarah interjected, from the kitchen. She wiped her hand and came over to join us. "The religion of your birth is Islam, George, because that is the religion of your father's side of the family. You know, you're a third-generation Muslim in our eyes."

There's no such thing as religion by birth. You can't be born being a Christian anymore than you can be born a Republican. It's dogmatic nonsense.

I suppose I'm catholic by birth then? Somehow I feel like the pope wouldn't approve of me being an atheist.

The Japanese did murder 10,000,000 people during WW2. Just sayin'.

Anyone here believe that God hates Nazis?

I won't pretend to know what's on God's mind or why He does what He does, but it is difficult to rationalize that a god of mercy would be so vendictive as to bring down retribution upon a people for their transgressions some 66 yrs later. If that's the case, America is screwed!!!

More to the point, what message was He sending for the hundreds who lost their lives from Hurricane Katrina? Or the people of Pompeii who died when Mount Vesuvious erupted? The people of Haiti? What were their crimes against humanity?

Pointing to man-made disasters, was 9/11 part of God's master plan to pay America back for its trangressions against the Arab world?

We can play this "holier than thou - spiritual walker" guessing game until the cows come home and never get an answer because quite frankly man can never know the truth as to why natural disaster happen. We can learn what causes a tornado or a hurricane to form or why the Earth tectonic plates shift, but we'll never know why they shift when they shift, why a tornado or hurricane forms and strikes precisely where it strikes as opposed to disappating or landing elsewhere.

The Earth is constantly in a state of flux. It's always moving beneath our feet in subtle ways. Earthquakes are the end result of our planet shifting, growing, changing, evoluving. To interject the climate change argument for a moment, I do believe in it. I just don't believe man is having that big of an impact on it. It's a naturally occuring event, nothing more, nothing less. Man may contribute to it, but I seriously doubt there's anything we can do to change it or stop it no more than man could have predicted that this earthquake would hit in Japan and cause so much damage and loss of life. It just happened and will happen again in other parts of the world just as unexpectedly, as unpredictable as this one.

But I don't think God sits up there (wherever He is) and thinks to Himself, "Hmmmm....I think I'll cause some devastation with the slant-eyed ones today...pay them back for all those allied forces they tortured and killed during the last world war. That oughta teach them a lesson."

It's not the Pope you should be worried about. He's merely a man.

I'm not worried about the Pope or anyone else. Not exactly sure what you're referring to here.

I know people who live in Japan and thankfully they are safe along with his dad and guess what their are some Christians that live in Japan as well as Buddhist, people who follow Shinto and other religions. They also gave us Martial arts, manga/Anime, and they are the most awesome people that I know its people like the fundamentalist Christians that make me hate Christians thought not all of you are that bad to people who disagrees with you.

Why do people blame god just because Japan is on a fault line? Its just how the earth moved to were it was know thank you very much and I hate how most people think this is Karma for Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor for shame on people who seem to forget the atom bomb that we drop on Hiroshima, and Nagasaki. Actually learn something about history other than stupid talking points and the Holocaust never happen talking points.

Also I somehow born an Christian even thought I am an atheist? o_O

Really?!?!?!

I want to put him on the air 24/7/365.

Within six months he will be a distant memory.
He's already on all the time and has surpassed your standard. Care to revise?

If God controls everything, how can a major natural event such as this earthquake be anything other than his doing? Some look at it as a message, others as a lesson, others as senseless...regardless of how people view the event, one thing is clear; God allowed it to happen and His reason(s) cannot be known with 100% certainty in this life.

So, is Glenn Beck right? Well, maybe...but we can't know if he's right or wrong. He is entitled to his opinion and does not deserve ridicule for his religous beliefs.

you know what? you're right. we should not be ridiculing his religious beliefs. and i'll stop doing that as soon as he stops ridiculing other religions. his stance is no different than the idiot who says aids was sent to punish gays.

And your only problem with that is what? You don't agree with it so he shouldn't believe it? Hardly a supporter of freedom of religion...are you?

i'm not a supporter of hatred and hypocrisy.

The people making disparaging comments about the man ought to feel ashamed of themselves. Glenn Beck has had a rough life and slowly gone insane over the years. Shame on FOX NEWS for profiting off of mental illness, and shame on the people railing against him for treating him like a neurotypical individual. This man needs help, and when FOX allows him to wallow in his paranoid delusions it only allows his condition to degenerate.

You and Glenn Beck are both welcomed to have stupid beliefs. Don't expect us to not make fun of the fact that you clearly have no idea what a tectonic plate is or how they work. I call the beliefs stupid because they're uneducated. They're mythological explanations for real scientifically explainable events. Earthquakes happen today for the same reason they happened 6 thousand years and 500 millions years ago. They don't happen because fairies are angry at you. They don't happen because Zeus wants to smite us. They happen for the reason reasons they've been happening before human beings were even on this planet. When you hide behind religion to defend your own stupidity you look mighty dishonest in the eyes of those you're defending yourself against. Being religious is no excuse for being a ****ing moron.
