Can candidates seriously be this stupid?

ALZBERG: Don’t you think it’s fair also to ask him, I know your stance on this. How come we don’t have a health record, we don’t have a college record, we don’t have a birth cer - why Mr. Obama did you spend millions of dollars in courts all over this country to defend against having to present a birth certificate. It’s one thing to say, I’ve — you’ve seen it, goodbye. But why go to court and send lawyers to defend against having to show it? Don’t you think we deserve to know more about this man?

yes they can. I think Huckabee is an honest man, for the most part and as politicians go, and accept he mispoke. But stupid **** dies a hard death in the political world.

No doubt. Howard Dean's hyawww has to be the best example of that. Talk about a campaign killer. I definitely think it was a slip of the tongue, since he has defended Obama so many times in the past. However, why even take the chance and get interviewed by someone who is going to ask questions as dumb as:

During the interview Malzberg brought up the "birther" questions with Huckabee, asking the former Arkansas governor if "we deserve to know more about this man?"

I agree that's a much better answer. I would have loved him doing just that.
 
In the 21st century, The Republican Party continues its late 20th century of campaign against anything that isn't white, Protestant or from the South. Let's just say Obama had grown up in Kenya. So the **** what? Are we all supposed to grow up in Nowheresville, USA?

Mostly because birthers will fire up again. And the question was really odd, unless you're a birther. :shrug:
 
We all knew Huckabee is insane, but apparently he's also just a typical Republican liar.

This is my opinion. It's not like he said Obama was born there, and Obama does have some relatives living in Africa. I think he just made a verbal gaffe, like he said, and I believe he even apologized for it afterward. The questioner appeared to be trying to set him up.

It seems like the media microanalyzes everything he and Palin say in a way it would never dream of doing to Obama or Pelosi.

He did not get them mixed up. He knew exactly what he was doing. He built quite a long argument on Obama's perspective of the Brit's based on him growing up in Kenya. He clearly did not misspeak. He played to the audience, and in doing so, the former preacher committed the sin of bearing false witness. Then he lied to cover up his lie when he was caught. I thought this guy had integrity. I was wrong.
