Unemployed Man's Suicide

If you don't pay for me you think I'm a criminal.

Thom Hartmann (born May 7, 1951) is an American radio host, author, former psychotherapist and entrepreneur, and progressive political commentator. His nationally-syndicated radio show, The Thom Hartmann Program, airs in the United States and has 2.75 million unique listeners a week.[1] In 2008, 2009, and 2010, Talkers Magazine named Hartmann the tenth most important talk show host in America,[2] defining him as the most important liberal host (the nine above Hartmann are conservatives).

Hartmann is a superb commentator, radio host, writer and all around genius. His knowledge of political and economic issues is voluminous and he is a needed voice for the people of America.

I agree with the man penning the note. Death probably was his best option.

Yeah, he's so good he's the 10th most listened to guy on radio.

I do not understand what connection there is between the two? Is American Idol the best show on TV because it gets high ratings? Is some adolescent swill filled with teen age crap the best film of the year because it brings in cash? You are falsely equating two things which have nothing to do with my statement about Hartmann.

1st-10 ten in all of radio is nothign to sneeze at
2nd-Thats a shame
3rd-I will be much more impressed with Mr Hartmann when he sets up a private account that he personnaly funds and asks all his many listeners to independently contribute to said fund so that they can help provide for those people he obviously cares so much about instead of the damned GOP for not creating a permanent welfare state.

yeah, he's almost as good as Hannity and Beck :lamo

Who is this guy?

Seems to me he is just another rhetoric machine.

yeah, that's what I said. and who are the the 2.6 million "unique" people who listen to him every day?

If those 2.6 million listeners gave just $3.50 sense a day...the price of a cup of coffee...they could have saved that poor mans life. Those that claim this to be their puropose and cause...stop bitching about what the government isnt doing and start doing it yourself. Drag all the Hollywood stars, the musicians...instead of insisting there be 3000 red M+Ms and cases of Evian and Champagne, they could just donate it all to the poor. Manage an open to the public account where they help poor unfortunate souls...

Agreed. Let's just have a specific tax on Hollywood actors movie salaries, say 80% and then the producers should pony up, let's say 90%. That should get the ball rolling for bailing out all the poor unfortunates. Then the musicians can cough up a good wad...Bono can pay for all the AIDS drugs to Africa personally. He's worth nearly a billion dollars. Why should he be able to keep his money. That doesn't sound fair.

I truly empathize with this poor man. May he R.I.P.

Who is this guy?

Only people that venture away from Fox News and republican radio would really know. Us non-lemmings.
In either case Im sure the man who killed himself had big issues with depression and bi-polar that were untreated. Alas..... mental healthcare is very expensive.

I was with him (quite willing to listen) until he asked "How many more Americans will the GOP murder, before we wake up?".

1: The guy killed himself. I feel no sympathy for him. None. Suicide is NEVER the answer.

2: The problems in the US is the result of BOTH parties.
