    So he's a hypocrite.
I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on whats being proposed here, hed agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute. - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.

He's all for redistribution of wealth. I look forward to him doing just that with his own wealth. Not giving it to personal charities, but to the government because that's the way he wants it done.

Re: Michael Moore sues for 9/11 profits after already pocketing $19.8 million

There are a lot of relevant facts in this discussion, from both sides of the political aisle. One fact that can't be disputed is that Hollywood has a long history of fudging numbers and trying to avoid paying artist and film makers the royalties and funds they deserve. They (Hollywood) usually try to claim the film in question was not as profitable as it appeared to be or after expenses did not yield any. The case of the Eddie Murphy film "Coming to America" comes immediately to mind. It was one of the highest grossing films of 1988. Yet the studio actually tried to claim it made no profit, when they were sued by Art Buchwald. First Buchwald had to sue the studio for ripping off his story idea, they did and he won. Then he had to try and collect the money owed him, that is when they claimed the film made no money. Eventually (mostly because Buchwald could afford to keep fighting them in court) the studio settled with him out of court and he finally got his money. So Moore could be right, he may have been ripped off by the studio. Good luck proving it.

On the other hand, Moore does come across as a hypocrite again. The fact of the matter is that no matter who you are, you can't spend decades bashing "profiteers" and "capitalist" and expect not to have that come up. Particularly when you are going for a few million more than the 20 million or so you already made on your product. The fact that Moore has no problem playing fast and loose with facts and always has, becomes quite ironic when he starts complaining about the same behavior in others. Which has always been a big part of his shtick. So there is some humor at his expense to be had and in my opinion he richly (pardon the pun) deserves it.

Besides, I suspect the reason he wants the money now is because he is trying to fund his first non documentary fictional film. I think he has more than proven that he is an opportunist and crass enough to be guilty of doing just that. Just my two cents worth.

    A FAT ONE.

Shall we take bets on him being shipped off to Cuba for hospitalization, when his inevitable heart attack or stroke strikes his disgusting sperm whale frame?

Though I'm a Christian, I would like the thought of Karma grabbing a hold of that shabby marshmallo. Makes me all warm and comfy ya know?

You fail to understand the irony of this story.

Moore really is a scum bag but he falls into the same category as all other political commentators/entertainers like Beck, Hannity or O'Reily. The only thing different is his opinions. I'm sure if Beck filed a lawsuit over perceived shortcomings in royalties from his next book many here bashing Moore would all support him simply because they agree more with his politics.

Be careful in calling someone a hypocrite you aren't a hypocrite yourself.

No one is calling MM a hypocrite because they dislike him. I'm calling him a hypocrite because he's proven to be one. You can't rage against greedy, rich people and corporations getting millions and billions of dollars and then whine about not being paid more than $13 million for a documentary where money was made off of "poor" people! LOL! Greedy people whining about people being greedy. It's a perfect example of hypocrisy.

Glenn makes no qualms about being okay with people making money. It would make sense for him to complain about getting his money because he's a capitalist. There would be no hypocrisy.

    You see?
