John boehner sex probe

You're not missing anything.

So, it's ok if I say Obama had sex with one of his ACORN trainees?
It's my understanding that when a guy off the street asked him about it, he flipped him off and refused to answer. He must be guilty. :)

While it's disappointing another national leader has been revealed to have violated his most devoted vows, it is hardly surprising.

Who says? Oh, right, nobody. So he must be guilty just like Obama and his ACORN trainee.

We don't know if he did it or not. Boehner or the two women haven't denied it.

Obama and the trainee haven't denied it either, so we don't know if it's true or not.

Youthful indescretions seem easier to ignore than when grandma and grandpa go humping......political power must be a powerful aphrodisiac to some people....

Well - I firmly believe the Enquirer needs to be investigated by the FCC! They are so biased! It's in no way REAL journalism. (sarcasm)

the guy who held that seat before Boehner was a guy named Donald "Buzz" lukens who got nailed trying to set up a bit of the old "in out" with a less than cute 15 year old black girl. as one bouncer I knew at the "Waterfront" ( swank steak house that had a night club upstairs on the KY side of the Ohio river-a popular hangout for the Reds and Bengals) stated--a guy who could prove he was a congressman could get laid six months straight by hot hardbodies at this place--yet old Buzz went for jailbait

What is REAL journalism? Who are the REAL journalists?

What is REAL journalism? Who are the REAL journalists?

Real Journalism =

Sincerity, Truthfulness, Accuracy— Good faith with the reader is the foundation of all journalism worthy of the name.
A. By every consideration of good faith, a newspaper is constrained to be truthful. It is not to be excused for lack of thoroughness, or accuracy within its control, or failure to obtain command of these essential qualities.
B. Headlines should be fully warranted by the contents of the articles which they surmount.

Impartiality— Sound practice makes clear distinction between news reports and expressions of opinion. News reports should be free from opinion or bias of any kind. This rule does not apply to so-called special articles unmistakably devoted to advocacy or characterized by a signature authorizing the writer’s own conclusions and interpretations.

Fair Play— A newspaper should not publish unofficial charges affecting reputation or moral character, without opportunity given to the accused to be heard; right practice demands the giving of such opportunity in all cases of serious accusation outside judicial proceedings.
A. A newspaper should no invade rights of private feelings without sure warren of public right as distinguished from public curiosity.
B. It is the privilege, as it is the duty, of a newspaper to make prompt and complete correction of its own serious mistakes of fact or opinion, whatever their origin.

Decency— A newspaper cannot escape conviction of insincerity if, while professing high moral purpose, it supplies incentives to base conduct, such as are to be found in details of crime and vice, publication of which is not demonstrably for the general good. Lacking authority to enforce its canons, the journalism here represented can but express the hope that deliberate pandering to vicious instincts will encounter effective public disapproval or yield to the influence of a preponderant professional condemnation.

Real Journalists = Those who hold to the canons of journalism (see above).

so there really are standards? from what I read and hear, most of our reporters are mere repeaters....not sure if that is journalism...
ONE question remains....

WHO, by name, can be called journalists, and how close to they come close to meeting the standards????

I don't know who could be called that any more. But those are the canons of journalism - there's also a whole journalistic ethics and integrity portion which was too long to address. I don't know if such people exist as the money is made in hocking opinions these days, at least on a national level.

When I watch my local Philadelphia stations (local news) on TV, or I read my local newspapers - they tend to be more straight news, "just the facts" type of delivery. Very little opinion is thrown in unless it's a human interest story.

According to Gordon Murray, recently deceased Wall street banker, we once had standards on Wall street as well, back in the 70's.
I read a while back that wall street tycoons before the great crash PAID the media to tout their stocks. It wasn't much of a secret, except to the small investors...
There it is, the media, wall street, and politicians, all screwing us.:(

the media arm of the reich wing possesses none of those traits

i think it is more likely true than not
but nowhere do i see that Obama is accused of having affairs outside of his marriage as this thread implies boner has committed ... a la john edwards
for that reason, i do not see where your article has bearing on this thread - other than to divert it away from a discussion of boner's alleged sexual misdeeds with the two women who were not his wife

So, Clinton did deserve to be impeached?

So, Clinton did deserve to be impeached?

oh hell no
but he should have been smart enough to tell the truth when asked ... or to have said 'none of your business'

ohhhhhhhhh, so he didn't get impeached because he got his **** sucked in the Oval Office and instead for committing perjury?

Is that going to be the story, now? :lamo

That has always been the story... unless one is too lazy to read the actual articles of impeachment. He was impeached for perjury, not getting a damned blowjob. Fair enough, it might have been a bit before your time, but google is free and easy. Try it!

As for Bohner's sex life, I not only don't care about it, I honestly don't even want to think about it. Unfortunately, if his mistress was a lobbyist... *sigh*... then the stupid horn-dog deserves scrutiny for a potential conflict of interest liason. Which means I'm gonna hear about it, and have the image burned into my brain.

Politicians should be neutered before taking the oath of office. That is all.

Ah, this is just a stupid thread all together, in today's society, a married person having an affair, is akin to jaywalking, it means nothing, if true, just come out and admit it, give your fake most humble apology, put up with the two weeks of media flash, then get on with things, you can call it right, or wrong, but it's the way things are today. People just don't give a S**t about such things anymore.

If it's false, let it play out, then sue ..

Conservatives should be thankful the rumour is about him doing women... more than often when Conservative politicians get into this, it is with the same sex.

Actually that IS why he got impeached...not because he had multiple affairs, or because he kept state dignitaries waiting in the Rose Garden while he was busy in the Oral Office...but because he lied under oath while he was on trial for sexual harrassment of Paula Jones. Rather than create a causative link he lied. Boom...perjury...the only impeachable offense.

Now...the fact that he sat on a couch with sweatpants down around his ankles and a towel over his unit while he played with himself til ms Jones was escorted (by his request) into his hotel room and then once she arrived he stood up, let the towel fall from little Willy, and asked her to "kiss it"...well...you would think liberals would be upset about his treatment of women. Or the groping of a woman he pinned in a doorway shortly after her husbands suicide...or the allegations of rape...you would think if liberals and groups like NOW ere at ALL consistent they would have at least been pissed...but they werent. Defender of the faith, and all that rot...

I actually think Bill was a decent president. And I agree...that in the case of Ms Lewinsky, he should have pleaded the "Its none of your damn business what I do."

more eurosocialist nonsense. The big homo scandals involved Democrats. Gerry Studs (LOL-great name for a gay guy), Barney Frank and the Governor of New Jersey.

Fact is, the POTUS can get his BJ by whomever he wishes where ever he wishes in he White House, using any toys or implements with any foreign President or leader in the room or on the phone, as long as he's not breaking any domestic or criminal laws (read: consensual). Clinton was impeached for lying under oath. Morally, yes it was repugnant to know that Clinton did those things (which I will not go into right now) but that's not why he was impeached. He lied and he lied to investigators under oath.

Do you want to use the word HARD in the same sentence with BEOHNER discussing a possible sex scandal?

btw - on the pronunciation of his name: I was always taught that "when two vowels go a walking, the first one does the talking". If we apply that rule, it should be pronounced as "Boner".

In German where it came from it is pronounced Boner.
