"The rules are for thee, but nnot for me". Obama is his own worst enemy. He can't resist letting his mouth overload his ass.

Apparently, the White House has forgotten the lesson of the Beer Summit and the fallout from Obama’s ignorance in his SCOTUS SOTU Scolding last year. That lesson should have been that the President should either wait to see the evidence and the law before opining on legal matters outside of his jurisdiction, or better yet, keep his mouth shut altogether. Valerie Jarrett tells George Stephanopoulos this morning that President Obama thinks the Illinois appellate court got it wrong, and that Rahm Emanuel should have been left on the ballot despite not having lived in Chicago for the required year.

Jarrett: Obama thinks Illinois court acted stupidly, or something « Hot Air

Valerie Jarrett: “I think that he believes that [Rahm is] eligible and I believe that he believes that Rahm will pursue his appeal in the courts. And as he said then, he thinks Rahm would make a terrific mayor.”

And this is a bad thing to say, because???

Funny thing, Valerie Jarrett never even came close to uttering those words. Hot Air is just that, they made it up out of whole cloth.

it amazes me how statements are spun to appear to say other than what was actually expressed
for example, let's view what was actually stated:
Valerie Jarrett: “I think that he believes that [Rahm is] eligible and I believe that he believes that Rahm will pursue his appeal in the courts. And as he said then, he thinks Rahm would make a terrific mayor.”
the thread title and the OP have nothing in common with the facts
goebbels would be proud to see his legacy so followed

Jarrett was sharing her opinion of What Obama believes, too. She didn't say "The president believes" she said "I think that he believes".

For that to turn into what it's being portrayed as in the hot air article, one must completely remove all of their own sense of reason.

What do they call it when people bring up Nazi's in somethign completely not related to Nazi's???

Obama thinks the decision the Illinois court made was wrong. He did not say anything about "acting stupidly."

Pretty sure that even though I did not vote for him, don't agree with many of his policies, and think he's ****ing up the country... he's still entitled to an opinion.

So, now you're a democratic congressman already?

Wow, I'd hate Obama too if I imagined that he said and did all the things that you imagine he says and does. Reality is a bitch though.

I think you're talking about Godwin's Law. Although that I believe that specifically refers to Hitler.

Nope, it's nazi's in general or Hitler. This thread was Godwin'd like a mofo.

Godwin or something?

yes, when partisans adopt the effective - yet unethical - propagandist practices of the reich, we should ignore that political manipulation

Godwinning is perhaps the stupidest tactic out there. Even if your claim is accurate it will be dismissed out of hand, and thus no productive discussion rooted in reality will result.

Which is why I immediately godwin my wife when she asks me to take out the garbage.

Tucker God you, had too go all perverted didn't you thought I am still Laughing out loud.

But, I still find nothing bad in what he said in fact the man is untitled to his opinion just like every one else has a right.. .

He had a right to his opinion, when he said that the Cambridge police department acted, "stupidly".

The whole point of the blog is, of course Obama's going to disagree with the court ruling. Rhambeaux is his boy. Obama is going to disgree with the court decision, no matter how obviously correct the decision may be.
