True. Alone, the birth announcement really means nothing (legally). But when combined with the birth document issued by the state where Pres. Obama were born, it should've been enough to satisfy all callers. Unfortunately...

Re: Hawaii governor can't find Obama birth certificate

the evidence of Obama's birth in Hawaii is overwhelming. what logical reason is there for anyone to continually refuse to accept factual evidence that Obama is a natural born citizen of the US?

what is it that they are really upset about? what is so different about Obama compared to previous Presidents that we've had? Is it his ancestry that gets to them? is it the fact that his mom is Kansan, his dad is Kenyan and Obama is African American?

is it that it's more pleasant for them to say they don't like someone because they are not a citizen of the United States, than it is to admit that you hate someone because you are a racist?

unless i'm missing something, there is no other explanation that makes any sense. if anyone here sees it any differently, then feel free to explain what other explanation could there be?

and of course i'm not saying it is racist to question something about the President. what i am saying, is that when you have overwhelming evidence about something, what logical reason is there to keep saying otherwise?

so if race is not the issue, what is it?

I don't know who is more ridiculous, the birthers or the "if you don't like Obama you are a racist" crowd.

Obama is a liberal democrat, that's why they don't like him...just like they didn't like Clinton, but no one was pissing their pants and crying "racist" when Clinton was president.
The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter.

i get that they don't like him. duh. but why continue to focus on this. why not criticize him for his policies they don't like. why the fascination with this??

He didn't say not liking Obama makes you racist. He was implying being a birther means you're racist.

I tend to agree. There isn't a logical reason for the belief. Even partisanism can't account for it, if there had been a question about Clinton's legitimacy, and Clinton had shown the document that Obama has shown, people would have dropped it right there.

Hey if you guys want to think that conservatives who oppose Obama are racist, that's ok. I don't give a **** what you folks think about anything any more. The American Left is dead to me.

Did you happen to notice how that wasn't what we said?

Well, if you're going to provide proof that Obama is a natural born citizen, it should at least be enough proof to get a driver's license.

So far, everything we have and a buck will get you a cup of coffee.

Why doesn't Abercrombie get with Chiyome Fukino and go see the long form? Or, did Fukino lie through his teeth, then he said he saw Obama's BC? I guess this shapes up to be one of two things, Fukino is a liar, or Abercrombie is a dumbass. Personally, I think Abercrombie is a dumbass, either way, for digging this **** up. I tola'ja it was gonna be a can of worms.

"I, Dr. Chiyome Fukino, director of the Hawaii State Department of Health, have seen the original vital records maintained on file by the Hawaii State Department of Health verifying Barack Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen. I have nothing further to add to this statement or my original statement issued in October 2008 over eight months ago...."

Damn! We're busted! You figgered us out; we're all racists. We realize that he's a natural born citizen and his policies are awesome, but we criticize him because he's black, or because he's half black, anyway. Either way, he's not white enough.
