This sums up today's youth

They were probably inspired by the movie "Jackass", where they screw with some guys who are golfing with an airhorn. In that one, one man starts hitting balls into the woods at them.

Me, I probably would have laughed it off as a prank, but I can see where a serious golfer would have been ticked off. The punk's outrage was stupid... he should have realized that when you **** with people, they may **** you back.

Also, don't piss off old men. They tend to use weapons.

Yep, the prank was kind of funny until the kid went PMS over his toy. If he would have just laughed it off and apologized, the old man would have probably calmed down, but no, he had to confront him, and basically got punked himself.

I'm not defending the kids, but you expect the kids to be mature and hel calm down the adults?

So some kids being idiots, and moving a golf ball 8 feet is cause for the guy to take a swing at them with a golf club? Yeah, I don't think so. What the kids did was stupid, but if that guy made contact, he could be facing jail time.

Actually, aside from hitting the RC car, he didn't start swinging the club until the punk got in his face with an attitude, which is often a prelude to assault.

Also I don't know if these were really "kids". They looked college age to me, young adults... and ought to be responsible for their own behavior by then. Ought to be...

I agree with the old men up to the point of them swing the gold club at the youths.

That crossed a line

The damaging of the RC was fine and justifiable in my opinion

I would have hit him with the club when he ran up and claimed self defense.

They need to take those golf balls and GET OFF MY LAWN!!!

Not really, kid running up to me after I smashed his toy, yelling... I felt threatened.

Feeling threatened I doubt would hold up

You would have to have a reasonable reason to feel threatened, otherwise you could walk down the street shooting people who look at you "wrong" cauising you to feel threatened

I used a real example of a person running up shouting, notice that he pushed the man. It's at that point I would have hammered the kid.

You, make an absurd, ludicrous statement about shooting people for looking "at you wrong".

You would have hammered the kid, and if I saw the video as it happened I would say you were guilty of assualt, and were not acting in self defense

I'm glad the old man decided to smash the guys car thing. He deserved it. What were those old guys doing to him?

Of course you would. You believe punks have rights.

foolish to insinuate that this sums up today's youth, I would be considered to be part of "today's youth" and wouldn't even entertain the thought of doing such a thing....Well maybe I would entertain it but wouldn't actually carry it out. :)

PEOPLE have rights.

Punks aren't people. They are punks. And punks, gt hammered. After a hammering, most learn and BECOME people. Those that don't, or are denied such a hammering because "oh they have rights" end up in prison.

No I believe that assualting someone is a crime, no matter who does it. Self defense is fine, but not hitting someone because they are a dick

I believe that a good ass whooping, teaches a valuable lesson. Protecting dip****s leads to more dip****s. I can think of at least a dozen fights I was in as a kid, attacking bullies and punks. Won all but one, and that was cause his punk friends stepped in. Every other person I fought? Ended up as my friend.

Punks are people too.
