Wow, thanks God guy has not an AK-47!

Probably doesn't have a job anymore, either...LOL

Haha thats pretty funny, did I hear a British accent at the end there?

Where is epic beard guy when you need him?

I got from that video that the guy thought someone had insulted him. Did just asking for some bacon really insult the guy that much or was there some name calling before hand? He was hard to understand, but it seemed to me the guy was yelling "What the f**** did you call me?!"

He's yelling at him for recording him, not because the customer asked for bacon. He says "don't ****in' record me, bitch".

He's still a moron, but the incident really has nothing to do with bacon.

What was the first thing the other guys said though --- he puts his hand out to the pissed off guy and says, "No no no... he didn't know that ok? We don't have bacon." Also, look at 0:24 the sign on the small fridge there - it says "Not Halal". So it might, just might be that the guy got really pissed off because someone asked for bacon...

This may be a silly question, but how do we know that the guy is a Muslim?

He's not yelling at him about ordering bacon, though, he's yelling about being recorded. And is it that the angry dude didn't know that they don't have bacon? Or was it the customer who "didn't know that", whatever "that" was?

I shouldn't have said that the incident has nothing to do with bacon, though. It's impossible to tell what it was about.

We have no idea what went on before the video started running. He might have been pissed off about bacon, sure, but it could have been anything for all we know.

I'm not sure what "not halal" has to do with anything.

I wish there was more so the incident could be clearer.

You know what halal means, and certainly there is NO bacon that's halal period. It's not usual to see such a sign unless there are a decent amount of muslims patronizing that KFC. I'm just saying it may lend a bit of credibility to the bacon theme of the story and the guy might have been very insulted initially about someone asking for bacon, and then got more pissed off at someone recording him being pissed off.

Hard to tell. All of this is supposition given the little bit of video available.

-- It's impossible to tell what it was about --

This is the edited video (bleeps over the swearing) but it gives more detail in the print (also quoted below).

A worker at a KFC restaurant in Sydney has been suspended after he was filmed screaming vicious insults and threatening to attack a customer.

The violent outburst happened at a Halal-friendly KFC in Punchbowl on December 26, allegedly after a customer became angry after being refused bacon on their burger.

The Punchbowl restaurant does not serve bacon or pork in accordance with Islamic law, and one employee can be heard saying "we don't have bacon" before the other begins yelling.

"Don't record me bitch!" he screams as he approaches the counter. "Don't f---ing record me!"

The employee continues to yell and smacks the cash register display on its side, before other workers grab him and lead him outside.

"I'm gonna f---in break your head bro," he says to the person filming as he is led around the corner out of sight.

A spokesman for KFC Australia told ninemsn the employee had been suspended over the incident and offered counselling.

"KFC Australia strongly condemns the behaviour of the team member who appears in the clip and sincerely apologises for this very inappropriate reaction," the spokesman said.

But the spokesman also said the employee may have been harassed by the customer before his meltdown.

"As part of our continuing investigation, KFC has been offered statements from other customers who were in the store at the time," the spokesman said.

"These statements indicate a customer had directed offensive language and became abusive towards the team member when the customer's preferred selection was not available at that store."

The video was posted online by YouTube user "farkie", who wrote that the outburst stemmed from an argument over bacon.

"We asked for bacon on the burger, when we complained about there being no bacon," they wrote.

KFC said their investigation into the incident was ongoing.

Sounds like some customers went into a Halal friendly KFC and asked for bacon when they don't actually have bacon. Anyhow - the "employee" deserves the sack, "counselling" is not the answer to a poor quality employee.

Not Halal would be the Muslim equivalent of not kosher wouldn't it? That sign would lead you to believe this was in a Muslin country or area, and that serving non muslim food would be ok at the restaurant, which the guy working there would know. I would have to guess he is not upset at the bacon aspect, though really it's impossible to tell, and damn did he overreact.

Edit: Infinate Chaos beats me by a hair with more and better details, though I am confused. What he quotes says it is Halal friendly, but the sign says "Not Halal".

I know what Halal means, but the sign says not halal, which makes the "asking for bacon was extremely offensive to him" theory seems even more unlikely to me.

Now, I would guess that there was some sort of altercation going on about the bacon, given the fact that it gets mentioned, the manager-esque dude seems to be placating the customer, and the camera was turned on to begin with (who turns on the camera while ordering food at KFC unless there is something going on already?).

What we don't know is if Angry Ahab became that way over the mere request for bacon (which would be truly insane) or if the customer had said something that pissed him off (which is not all that unlikley at a fast food restaurant). We do know that what really set him off was being recorded. Perhaps he fears that recording him will steal part of his soul or something.

Thanks. From the way that teh article describes it, the following does seem like a likely scenario to me:

These statements indicate a customer had directed offensive language and became abusive towards the team member when the customer's preferred selection was not available at that store.

That was the American Indians who thought that right?

He might be on a terrorist watch list and afraid that someone will recognize him in the video. If that's the case, I would venture to say that his reaction made things worse for him.

That's an assumption so big they can probably see it from SPACE!

lololol, etc

Not to mention very, very, very, very, very politically incorrect; which is purdy much why I said it.

Or it could be just one more thread in your tapestry of idiocy.

If that was your intent, it failed pretty badly. It wasn't politically incorrect, just really really unlikely, among other things.

Didn't you get the memo? Referring to a random Muslim and terrorism in the same post for no apparent reason whatsoever is edgy.
