American Muslims can be good guys like Fouad Ajami or Zalmay Khalilizad, or the greatest terrorists in the world like Anwar al Awlaki. There is no way of telling who is good and who is bad, and there is no presumption one way or the other.

dude, it's not like the media stages those freaking protests and flag burnings, etc. that **** actually happens and they film it. As liberal leaning as the MSM is, you can bet your ass that if a bunch of moderate, peace loving muslims staged a demonstration to denouce radical islam CNN would be all over it in order to give the lefties something to gloat over and scream "told ya so"

That all depends on if the comedy show shows Americanized Muslims that would get killed in a fundamentalist state or the radicals you see popping up at the universities. Will it include happy images...maybe even a few gay muslims...a large breasted blonde haired muslim that goes to the pool in a bikini and dates outside of her religion...

I can't decide which is more absurd, the original comment from Katie, or the fact that there are a bunch of people in this thread who actually seem to believe that there are masses of ignorant bigots in this country who hate muslims but will nonetheless watch a show about them religiously and become enlightened to the fact that rich upper class muslim families don't hold secret desires to inflict mass carnage.

It's just such enlightened thinking. Reminds me of how - through PBS - we were able to transform a nation of culturally ignorant slobs into a people thirsting for ballet, riverdance, and british miniseries from the 1980s.

Also, I'm sure most all mosque's, and muslims in this country do disagree, and rebuke the actions of the extremist minority, but it's not like you would hear about it. Because really, what is gonna be put on the news, the statement from a mosques leader denouncing the acts of the extremist muslims, or an anti-American parade that happens through the streets of Bagdad? Think about for a minute.

Most of the 'Muslims in America' would be labelled infidels and killed by fundamentalists. Most Muslims in America basically say I like this...but I dont like that...so they 'kind of' practice the muslim religion. And heres the thing...some people hate all muslims...but those people are never going to change their minds (just like SOME blacks hate all whites, SOME whites hate all blacks, SOME arabs hate everyone. But MOST people already recognize its not ALL Muslims that are the problem...but are smart enough and honest enough to recognize that a large number of Muslims ARE the problem. You can gloss over it however you like.

I just wish the mindless kneejerk liberals that feel the need somehow for some reason to rush to defend MUSLIMS felt that way about ALL religions. I think it is a very interesting what they choose to hitch their wagons to.

I never said those things were staged. There is a huge difference between saying people should not believe that those images represent muslims and claiming the images are fake.

Saying that people should not believe negative images represent all Muslims is not in any shape or form claiming the images are staged or false.
