Part sarcasm, and part real. I'm tired of offshore residents coming in here telling me how America should be, and what my rights are or should be. We have foreign member who have a mealy-mouth way of denegrating America to get around the rules, and frankly I'm tired of it. I hope these people end up with the govt they espouse in their own countries.

Fine... let the market decide these things. Same with what powers our economy. When they find a solution, fine... until then, let us exploit our oil, coal, gas, and uranium. Stuff that works.

Until LED is good to go, the old bulb worked just fine and its price was right. I didn't need a hazmat suit to clean the thing after dropping it, and I've dropped a CFL. Turfed it into the trash.

That could all change fast when LED manufacturers get new purchase orders.

Nobody can tell you anything you don't want to hear, and you know it, so why this overacting? Want sympathy, a hug...

Light bulbs with higher wattage permits what we used to call "reading". This reading thing was at one time utilized to educate. Thank God, I mean thank someting thosec days are long gone. Actually, light bulbs with higher lumens allow for reading.

Haha, that explains why these good old inefficient American light bulbs have put American education standards so far ahead of the tyrannical regulated Europe.

I have old style light bulbs in my house that use 70W. I don't see what the issue is lol.

How did the oil companies miss this new find?

Because since 1971 we have not produced as much oil as we consume. That is why the oil companies recommended doing something about Iraq in the Energy Task Force Report.

ummmm, maybe they haven't started recovering it yet. They are too busy drilling hundreds of wells in North Dakota right now.
