LOL! Do you mean the very short temporary ban on deep water drilling after we had just had a failure with multiple unnecessary deaths of a deep water drilling rig????

How about the off-shore drilling Obama approved that had not been approved during the Bush Adminsitration?

"President Obama's decision, announced Wednesday, to approve new oil and gas drilling off U.S. coasts for the first time in decades reflects a high-stakes calculation by the White House: Splitting the difference on the most contentious energy issues could help secure a bipartisan climate deal this year. Don't know what you are referring to. Are you suggesting we did not pass peak oik in the US in 1970? If so, please list the years we produced more oil than we consumed since 1970.

    Thanks!

you're confusing your concepts. peak oil is an idea of when the globe hits it's peak oil production due to physical limitation. the US unilaterally slowed down oil production through legislation in the 70s. peak oil is definitely a real thing (so is peak water or peak iron for that matter). the question is when will we hit it. since there is no free market allowing people to discover and recover oil as they see fit, it's impossible to tell when or if that will ever happen.

I suppose you want your right to hunt whales for heating oil back, too?
Time to come to the 21st century

Incandescent bulbs are tiny, crappy space heaters that happen to produce some light as a byproduct. Cumulatively, they create an enormous load on our powergrid and contribute a lot of unnecessary pollution. Time to upgrade.

Now where on Earth did you get the silly idea that regulating commerce is all that is needed for totalitarianism?

Every nation on the planet is, apparently, totalitarian!
